“Good solid stay for a 10 min walk to the centre”

Free parking, rexeption was a pleasant greeting. Good sized rooms. Ice cold AC. Clean bedding and bathroom. Breakfast staff polite & a decent choice. 24/7 convenience store opposite. Overall woukd defo stay again. Room on 2nd floor suggested

Beautiful hotel with an attractive front. Spacious and pleasant room (incredible shower). Good and varied breakfast (Western and Malaysian food). Friendly staff but variable efficiency. Very good location, very close to the city centre.

The location of the hotel is good, if you like local food in coffeeshops, this a good choice. The staffs at the front desk were helpful and polite. The location of the hotel is good, if you like local food in coffeeshops, this a good choice. The staffs at the front desk were helpful and polite. They were also patiently when explained using a map and shown us the direction how to reach the destination/s by walking. The room was clean and spacious. If you need to use the room safe, called font desk. The housekeeping will come by and place in the battery to make safe in operation. The TV channels is limited and wifi in my room is patchy. (My friend’s room wifi is working fine). Hope the hotel will look into it. There was bottled water in the room and can refill water at the dispenser. Lastly, the shower area is clean but there is mould at bottom edge of the shower screen. Overall, is a good stay and definitely come back again.

A heritage hotel in a quiet locale conveniently located walking distance (10-15 mins) of the old city and attractions. Rooms (108 and 116) were spacious, and 108 had a jacuzzi in the bathroom (which doubled up as a both tub) and 116 had an outdoor jacuzzi. We liked that the hotel provided free filtered water on each floor, so remember to bring your own bottle to top up. Restaurant staff were very friendly (lunch was okay, limited menu) and reception staff were polite and efficient. Check-in is strictly at 3 pm. A luggage storage room is provided on the ground floor. Stow your luggage and hit the streets or chill in the cool and comfortable lobby till check-in. There is a large parking lot within the property. Little convenience shops (for drinks and snacks) are located opposite the hotel entrance, but proper restaurants are located a little further. The room provides bottled water, toothbrushes and toiletries. The downside for me was the mould/dust. It was neat and clean in appearance and I noticed housekeeping started their rounds early, but I the rooms had a mouldy/musty smell, which triggered my sneezing and swollen eyes. The soft furnishings like the curtains, carpets and sofas/lounge chairs definitely had seen better days and could do with a good clean. The wooden furniture was looking a bit beat up. The mattress was on the softer side. A real shame as otherwise this property has a lot of good things going for it.

Beautiful hotel from the outside very welcome as we arrived door opened for our entry, receptionist very polite and a quick check in all good so far then we were given our rooms, which were situated in the 1st floor. On exit from the lift the smell of damp was very strong as we continued down the corridors we did count over 5 de-humidifier machines working at full capacity, and noticed very bad damp patches on all the walls which had been painted over to mask the mould. Do we turn back now & complain or carry on to our rooms, being British we carried on. We went in and the damp smell was much more bearable so as we were only there for the night we stayed. The bathroom had a pebble dash finish to the walls not tiled it also had an inner wall leak which was very noticeable because of the colour change of the p/dashing was very dark and cooler to touch this was also making the floor behind the toilet wet. The shower cubicle had not been cleaned very well there was water splash marks on the outside of the glass. Bed made up for all faults of this hotel, it was one of the most comfortable beds in my life ( and it’s been a long one ) that I’ve ever slept in. Breakfast the following morning was average but we all ate and was comfortable.
