I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It is notoriously tricky to find a good hotel in this part of the state, especially if you’re used to a certain level of comfort. Paya Bunga is quite possibly the best option if you need time in the town centre, and surprisingly, it does not fall far behind. The grandeur and sheen admittedly feels a little timeworn; but location and comfort are a solid A+; and when you’re ready to leave the hotel, almost everything is within walking distance.

“Great for stopover and right next to bus station.”

Perfect for one night stopover. And good value for the $70AUD I paid. Right next to Kota Terengganu Bus Station if travelling by bus. Very popular with Malaysian tourists. Basic room, clean. Perfect for one night stopover. And good value for the $70AUD I paid. Right next to Kota Terengganu Bus Station if travelling by bus. Very popular with Malaysian tourists. Basic room, clean. Other reviewers have complained about the air con. Took me awhile to figure it out but it worked fine. And yes close your blinds as the room does get hot during the day. Some things need fixing, broken shower tile and no plug in sink ( minor) . Change the pillows and pillow cases as these were yellowing. I ate at the restaurant and had the chefs special which was good and only 15RM. Overall it was good. Remember to check out by 12pm, I was 10 mins late and was locked out of the room. But reception staff quickly gave me access.

“The room is ok but not cold”

i always stay at this hotel if I had an official trip in Kuala Terengganu. The room and the breakfast were ok and satisfied. The aircon was not ok and the room so hot. The gym just open 9am. It better if gym can open early so that the guest can do work out after subuh prayer.

It was my first time staying at this hotel when i stayed in this hotel. The lobby was surprisingly small for this large hotel. Check in was efficient with a helpful front office. The rooms were nicely appointed, however the air-conditioning was a weak point. if your rooms was facing west and have the afternoon sun, your room will very hot and it would take a long time to cool down not to cold. some of my friends had to change rooms due to the heat. During my stay, it was the fasting month, regretfully the breakfast were set meals to choose only. the nasi lemak breakfast was a disappointment, the western style breakfast was better. Overall the the staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel hotel was good as it was near a shopping mall.
