Excellent hotel. A bit of a surprise really. It makes me laugh 😃 the signs say no smoking, but that means nothing. The first room we had the smell of smoke in the room and corridors was overwhelming. We were roomed in the adjacent block, the Mehood Lestie. The room was fabulous, large and spacious sadly looking into an office building. “Family Holiday in Xiän”
Stayed at the Merlinhod Hotel after reading reviews on Trip advisor, its not 5 star and the hotel is dated, the breakfast was fine and close to the city. Walking distance to the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, there are many restaurants close to the Hotel.

Stayed here 4 nights. Service was impeccable, quick and attentive. Breakfast was mainly local fair with quite a good spread. The local taste is not my fancy, though. “Average stay”
The hotel lobby looks dated while the corridors look very modern and clean. The room was ok but the view was terrible outside as well as the window being visibly dirty with dust and while asleep all I could smell was smoke, it's like it was smoke infused in the bedding.
