We stayed at Paradero Los Cabos for 1 night, and the service here has been absolutely superb. A special shoutout to the concierge, Diane, who truly went above and beyond in every possible way. We got a little lost on our way to the resort, and Diane, along with Jose, literally walked a long distance to find us and make sure we were heading in the right direction. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with the most genuine smile and immediately made us feel so welcomed. As if that wasn't enough, she even helped us try to locate our lost car key (yes... we managed to lose it). Her kindness, patience, and dedication truly touched us. We are incredibly thankful to have met Diane at Paradero - she is truly an angel in this world and a perfect representation of the incredible hospitality here. This experience alone makes Paradero unforgettable.

Paradero is in my view and my experience, my all round fave hotel in the world. To achieve an amazing architecture which aligns with the environment, to provide a Michelin star level food and beverage, not to forget their impeccable service is rare these days. Either the hotel is cool and gorgeous but the service is non existent or the food looks good on instagram but tastes average. Paradero is simply in a class of its own. Also their room rates are affordable for the boutique hotel traveller junkie. It's the kind of hotel where you are inspired at every corner and where you just don't want to leave the property because nothing else is at the same level. This is my second visit, with a 5 year break in between and it has retained its consistency and perfection. The spa is so unique and organic and the quality of the treatments and the staff is just not what you find in other hotels anywhere. From the fresh garden herb on your pillow to the treatment room, to the lighting, to the music, to the menus...everything is just perfection.

On the whole, we were disappointed in our Paradero experience. There is no question that the resort a grounds are absolutely stunning. However, with the price point of this resort, the service was unfortunately sorely lacking. From having to walk up to the bar to ask for menus at breakfast after waiting for 15 minutes to be served, to sending numerous messages via their WhatsApp that went unanswered for significant periods of time (this is how they ask that you communicate with them), while the staff were pleasant and kind, they were clearly not trained to provide the 5-star experiences guests are paying for. At the heart of it, value for $$ here is questionable. The “all experiences included” concept is not well explained by staff - we learned from other guests what the experiences entailed. And while”included” there were significant expectations for tipping on these experiences. There is one restaurant on-site with a very limited menu - the food is good, but not great for the price - again extremely expensive. And everything “extra” is outrageously priced. Example - $30USD plus tax per direction for a 10 minute ride into the town. There were some real highlights - Diego is a wonderful guide and absolutely provides top shelf experience for the hiking excursions. The pool is gorgeous. And the grounds are immaculately tended to. This place has tons of promise. However, we felt the property has a need for a GM that truly understands hospitality and that the overall concept needs some real attention and focus on guest experience to deliver value for the outrageous prices they are charging. Bottom line, 5-star prices for 2-star service.
