We booked this hotel last minute and were able to secure one of the newly refurbished rooms, which turned out to be clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced for Valle de Guadalupe. For what we paid, it was a very decent stay and a solid option if availability elsewhere is limited. Since the property is marketed as a boutique spa hotel, my main recommendation would be to upgrade the in-room amenities. The shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body lotion felt very basic. A more spa-inspired, aromatherapy-style product (eucalyptus, lavender, or similar) would elevate the experience and better match the luxury and wellness concept the hotel promotes. We decided to extend our stay for a second night and were offered an upgrade to a room with a private terrace and fire pit, which was truly lovely. Sitting by the fire at night with a bottle of wine, overlooking the pool, jacuzzi, and surrounding vineyards, was a highlight of the stay. These rooms are a bit older than the newly refurbished ones, but they are still clean and well maintained. That said, the amenities in these “upgraded” rooms were exactly the same, and again, higher-end bath products would make a noticeable difference. The restaurant is excellent—great food and wonderful service. The hotel also offers horseback riding, or you can simply visit and see the horses, which is a nice touch if you prefer not to ride. The biggest disappointment, however, was related to the spa experience. Upon check-in, we were offered a package that included horseback riding, 20% off spa services, a four-course dinner, and breakfast. The package sounded great and was very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, after checking in and planning a spa day, we were informed the spa was closed and only operates through Friday. We checked in on Sunday and learned this on Monday morning—after the package had already been sold to us. While they offered to possibly arrange an in-room massage, this was not what we had planned or expected. We were specifically looking forward to enjoying the spa facilities, including the beautiful dry sauna and barrel saunas overlooking the vineyards, which are a major selling point of the property. This was a significant letdown. We were also told that horseback riding was fully booked on a Monday, which was surprising and disappointing as well. Overall, this is a lovely property with great potential, and I would absolutely consider returning—but only with confirmation in advance that: • The spa is fully open and operating • All services are available • Horseback riding availability is confirmed • We are staying in either the newly refurbished rooms or the Entre Viñedos area With better communication and a few thoughtful upgrades, this hotel could truly shine.

This was my first time staying in a hotel in Valle and I went with a group of 10 girls for a best friends 40th. I have always had great experiences any where I've stayed in Mexico but this hotel was a just a little off service-wise. We have no complaints for the restaurants service (everyone was wonderful!); but the front desk we found was very unhelpful. When we checked in and showed us to our room they opened the door and didn't bother to show us in the room/amenities or anything like that. While that might be a small thing, if you're going to bother walking us to our room I feel like you should at least turn the lights on for us. another room had a clogged sink and water leaking from the ceiling and while we understand that stuff like this happens, at least take some $ off our bill or provide us with something comped. We also had two girls go to use the pool and sauna area and were charged $90 each (TO USE A POOL???) and when we made our reservations we asked about using the pool and they said it was included. The hotel has a lot of potential, the grounds are pretty and the food at Fuego and the sushi restaurant was exceptional. We wouldn't stay here again but we would definitely recommend the restaurants!
