19.849482°, -90.533903° A 10-minute walk from the Plaza del Patrimonio Mundial in central Campeche, this no thrills hotel offers a good night’s sleep with good breakfast, lift and shuttle service. In December 2024, our room 230 was clean and well-maintained with television, Wi-Fi reception and air-conditioning. The double bed slept well. Breakfast offered many options including English and continental items. Good start to the day. City Express is a good no thrills quality hotel. Recommended.

“Basic services, basic hotel”

This is a very basic hotel, unlike any Marriott affiliated hotel we’ve ever been in. This is a very basic hotel, unlike any Marriott affiliated hotel we’ve ever been in. Everything is very plain but clean, the employees were pleasant, and the room was basically comfortable for the one night we were there. The main problems we had was a very noisy AC unit and too much light during the night. There were blackout shades but they were an inch or so away from the window and blazing light from the parking lot made the room too bright to sleep in without an eye shield. The breakfast was mediocre at best and many items were gone by the time we arrived at 8:30. The coffee, however, was good and available all day. I wouldn’t stay there again but it’s definitely not a bad place, just very plain.

It's an outdated, basic and overpriced hotel that's ok for one night if it's an emergency and you can't find nowhere else to stay. The staff was lovely, however, paying the same price as you'd pay in USA or Canada for this type room was unreasonable. The hotel was empty when we stayed there, but they still kept the prices high.

The Hotel is about 5-10 min. by walking from the city center. The room was clean, it is a basic hotel. We stayed in Campeche for 1 night so it was OK! Everything went good until the night. I could not sleep because of noise. I do not know where the noise came from, either from street or from other rooms, but it was like 100 people talking next door. It was very disturbing. The breakfast is a buffet which is great, but small variety and the quality was low.
