This is a nice older type hotel in the Historic Center. It is dated but not enough to pass on this friendly and affordable clean hotel. Easy walk to restaurants and bars. I booked the room with the Balcony which was more of a small patio overlooking the side street. It came with a table and 2 Chairs and was pretty large for a balcony. The staff were all nice and friendly and the Continental Breakfast was fine. Standard breakfast items of toast, jam, butter, rolls ,coffee, juice, etc. There is an outdoor patio in the center of the hotel with tables and chairs you can sit and enjoy yourself. Drawback is that there is no pool or Ice Machines. OXXO is just down the street to buy all the snacks, drinks and ice you want. The A/C and Wi-fi worked great and the flat screen had a lot of cable channels and some in English.

This is a nicely done, super clean hotel in the historic district and an excellent location near so many historic things. I found the staff to be very pleasant and anxious to assist the guest - with a single exception due to indifference. My room was on the 2nd floor - really a bit many steps for this geezer. After being turned down by one clerk because nothing would be available during my multi-day stay. The next morning I spoke with Jessica and she was able to switch me to a ground floor room right away; so much easier for me. THANKS JESSICA! Jessica also arranged a taxi trip to Calakmul for me for the following day. Jessica was a treasure and the hotel's best asset by far. Anytime I needed information she could get it and the same for a taxi. The rooms are a bit small, but passable; the beds are very comfortable. There is good hot water (must run it a while first) but only large bath towels are offered - no hand towels. In the operation it seems to me trying to go on the cheap for a few things and that gives a poorer look to the hotel. I requested an extra blanket - apparently they don't have any and offered an extra sheet instead. There is no stand or anywhere to put a suitcase except on the bed... or on the floor. In a room with 2 beds and presumably for at least 2 people, there is a small table (about 18" x 24") and 1 chair. What is the thought process there? In one room the night stand between the beds is so small the phone takes up over 1/2 of it. One of the rooms I had has a full glass shower door that is supposed to open into the shower area. HOWEVER there is nothing to prevent it opening out right into the toilet bowl with a distinct possibility of a broken door and possible serious injuries. The door should be restrained or, at the very least, have a significant bumper on the door to prevent the worst from happening. Smokers must stand outside on the street or sit on a half-step near the hotel door. One might think the open air courtyard could be used to accommodate smokers... I'm sure you sometimes hang something up to air-dry. My rooms here were so humid that was impossible. I believe dry towels brought into the room may get damp from the humidity! Excellent individual room A/C units are in use - I've encountered these units many places in the world and they're great. That makes me wonder if the ones here are being properly serviced and if they properly drain the condensate. If not... nasty! black mold? unhealthy 'stale' water being recirculated back into room air? When cooling, humidity drops - stop cooling and humidity JUMPS.

“uspokojive”

The rooms were clean, although we were close to the reception, it was not noisy. nor was the air conditioning too noisy. breakfast was disappointing. toast, a little butter, jam. no fruit, no tea, just coffee. to sleep for one night just.
