This is a shocker. I will base all my future reviews on this hotel. Why? Because I finally found a hotel whose architect thought that customer comfort was THE most important for a hotel. What I mean is this. The room has space for your clothes. There is a closet to hang your clothes in. There is a writing desk (with a chair). There is a comfortable chair. There is a luggage holder. Internet works in the room. (You would be surprised at the number of hotels that advertise in room internet that doesn’t work). The beds have individual lighting. There is free parking with a 24 hour on duty attendant. The receptionists (daytime) are incredible. Say hi for me.. At night, you have a receptionist who hasn’t realized what reception is. Greet the customers with a smile. Is there anything I can do for you? Her, no. She is extremely busy with the internet and will answer only if you say Hi first. The bathroom has an outlet to plug you razor and room for your personal things. The shower has room for your shampoo and body gel. The sink has room for both guests. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Food is not pricey so that is great. Situation: not bad. Restaurants abound around and Isauro Martinez teatro is 2 blocks away. The hotel is right by the Gran Plaza where the Palacio Municipal is. 8 blocks to the east, the Alameda (an area for parents and kids.) 4 blocks west, the Plaza the armas. A little further, the Cristo de las Noas. You have to realize that Torreon is an extremely young city. It was founded in 1907. So all the places that apply to older cities such as the Zocalo, do not apply here. There is no centro historico. This is not a pueblo magico. It is a business city. It has few things to make interesting to visit. BUT: go to Cuatro Cienegas and see the poza azul and the dunas de yeso. Go see the Cristo de las Noas. Go see the teatro Isauro Martinez, the second most beautiful teatro in Mexico (right behind the Palacio de bellas artes in Mexico D.F.). Also, you are close to Durango so visit. Go visit the Bosque Venustiano Carranza and it’s fair. The Museo regional de la Laguna is also there and should be visited. Mapimi is less than 1 hour away. You can see the Ojuelos Bridge and do the tirolesa. We had a room with little or no view. 101. The a room on the 3rd floor, 302. This one had a view although limited. We were there for 2 weeks and enjoyed every day of our stay. In Torreon, go to the Calvete.

true my experience is abouth 17 years ago , I have good reviews of the staff and the people who owned the place . We stay there at the time with a international crew of abouth 15 people feeling @ home every day . Thanks .

“Old mestique feal.”

Old fashion hotel. Old fashion elevators. Yes, nostalgia. The restaurant is great. One of the cities oldest hotels. Staff was great. Loved the staff. Do not expect modern facilities or pool, etc... For the price it was great.
