Arrived at 11am to enjoy the pool before my massage and facial. I purchased a day pass for $1800 pesos which included use of the pool (which is thermal and heated to about 80 F), 60 min massage and 2 course meal including 2 non alcoholic drinks. I added on a facial for $850 pesos. I made reservations the evening before via what’s app. Arrival was a bit strange there is no formal desk so I entered the restaurant. I couldn’t identify a point person so I went to the pool and just set myself up on a lounge chair where I was then greeted with a towel and checked in. My massage was for 12pm. I was greeted again at the pool by a woman who took me for my massage at 12:20. My relaxing massage started at 12:30 and included stretching. My facial included a foot massage. I was dressed and out the door at 2:06pm. Then off to lunch. The outdoor seating faces a field and is a nice backdrop to your experience. My waiter Martin was fantastic. Attentive, happy and warm. I ordered the French onion soup and filet which was included in the package. Pros: Easy to reserve via what’s app Beautiful setting Warm pool water Tranquility and Peace away from the city Friendly Staff Opportunities for change: Welcoming check-in area Spa services and facilities are underwhelming French onion soup needs less acid and more fat. Overall I would love to be back for an overnight stay, use of the pool and restaurant. Thank you for a lovely day.

This is a lovely place to retreat too. I booked an all inclusive day for my mom, sister and myself. There really was no communication upon arrival. Our packaged included a massage that was very nice, time at the thermal pool which was a bit disappointing and an excellent lunch. When our bill came we were charged more per person than advertised but not significant enough to complain. 2 drinks are included in your day but non alcoholic so we were not aware and that was extra. If you are looking for a get away from SMA for a day it fits the bill. If you are looking for mainly a great thermal pool I would suggest Escondido Place.

My friend and I scheduled treatments at the Nirvana spa. I had a body scrub, massage, and facial. My friend had the same services, except she had foot reflexology rather than a facial. Our experience began with both of us being directed to change in the bathroom. There were no change rooms, no lockers for our clothing, no stools or chairs, no towels -- it was a bathroom with a shower on one side, a water closet on the opposite side, and a common area in the middle. We managed to work around each other and get changed. We left our clothing hanging on hooks, put on robes, and carried our handbags with us to the treatment area. I will only speak for myself and my experience. The privacy for the treatment services was somewhat limited. A two-foot opening in the curtains in my treatment area was completely open to the main hallway. I realize this wouldn't bother some people, but it did bother me because I was lying on the treatment table completely nude with nothing covering me. The scrub was mediocre. The practitioner put the cold scrub on my skin and rubbed it around. She glopped it up the back of my scalp and into my long hair, which annoyed me, as I didn't see the value of putting body scrub in my hair. When the body scrub was over, she instructed me to shower and then return for my massage. She opened the curtains of the treatment area, and signaled with hand gestures that she wanted me to walk down the main hallway of the spa in the nude, covered with body scrub, to the bathroom to shower. It completely felt like a Walk of Shame as she followed behind me carrying my bathrobe and a towel to use after I showered. My friend had the same experience. The massage was also mediocre at best. Again, I was annoyed because she spread the massage oil through my entire scalp and hair. If she spent time massaging my scalp, I might be more tolerant. However, her work with my scalp was minimal, and the whole process completely annoyed me and ruined any enjoyment I might otherwise have received from the treatment. I could hardly wait to get off the massage table, go home, and have a long shower to get all the oil off me. The treatment couldn't end soon enough for me. When the treatment was finished, my sandals and a robe were placed in front of a small sign that stated how much the practitioner appreciates receiving tips. She left without offering a glass of water. My friend and I returned to the bathroom where we jostled around each other to get dressed. Given the lack of shower supplies and products, we determined we would wait until home to wash all the oil off. Personally, I had to shampoo three times before I got all the oil out of my hair. After our spa treatments, we ate lunch on the outdoor patio of the Nirvana Restaurant. The service we received from our waiter, Martin, was excellent. He was efficient, friendly, courteous, and well-versed with the menu. I ordered a specialty salad, and it was very good. In conclusion, I am comfortable recommending the Nirvana Restaurant.
