I just stay here for 3 nights. The regular rooms are small for 2 adults and 2 kids. Very clean. Good amenities. Hot water. Chimney. Lobby area is well presented. Bar and pool tables. I do not share their policy that no kids are allow to play pool. Parents should be in charge of their kids. If they brake it, they pay for it. No kids should play by themselves. My recommendation. I love grilling and it is not allow it here. Being in a beautiful site as here should have a grilling area close to the rooms. I would stay again in a bigger room.

Stayed here for 2 nights, beautiful and clean cabins. The hotel service exceeded our expectations, very efficient and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant people were the best!!! The cabins were extremely clean and the room service was excellent. The only bad experience was that my husband tried to golf here and they didn’t have golf balls available and the fields were very dry, not attractive for golfers. Lack of service at the golf club.

“Great place”

The hotel view is amazing, rooms are simple in the middle of the mountain andnot far away from the lobby. Unfortunately service at the restaurant is really bad. The bar is really great. The hotel is about 15 min downtown

The Tapalpa Country Club sits above the enchanting town of Tapalpa, Mexico. The winding journey from Guadalajara passed through two mountainous regions and then through the heart of Tapalpa. The Country Club is about 10 minutes from the town center and feels distant from civilization. The front desk is located inside a pleasant courtyard. The valley view is stunning and reveals a varied topography of rolling hills. The front desk associate was task-oriented with a hint of warmth. She showed me my room location on a map, and I headed out the front door. The property consists of multiple buildings which sit up on a hill. There is no bell service, so if you don’t have a car you’ll have to carry your luggage. Another word of caution is that the property gets very dark at night, and lighting is scarce. Returning to my room after dinner, I used my phone to guide me up the steps. The room felt like traditional Mexico with modern amenities. The wood door opened to a small landing area with the bathroom on the immediate left. Four steps down and through an archway was the bedroom. The high ceiling made a fairly spacious room feel even more so. The décor was well coordinated and fit with the surrounding landscape. This is one case where white walls felt intentional; the white exuded simplicity. Tiled floors, slanted roof, and fireplace combined to make the room feel homely. Inside the bathroom attractive floral design graced the counter and sink. I thought that this was a unique touch which departs from the standard hotel blueprint. The shower also featured one row of floral tiles, but the rest was a series of brown hues. The shower curtain and each towel were wrapped with a ribbon, and the toilet paper was carefully aligned. This was impressive attention to detail, and the room was impeccably clean. There were also complimentary bottles of water in the room. In terms of amenities, there was a surprising number of cable channels in the room. Reception was fine unlike the wireless access. I was not able to access the network from the room at any point during my two days. The lobby offered the fastest, most reliable connection. The restaurant served an array of Mexican staples, and I would qualify the food as fine but not particularly noteworthy. Finally, the hotel does not have a fitness center. The Tapalpa Country Club truly offers an escape from it all. There is nothing within walking distance sans private homes. The heart of town is about 10 minutes by car. With limited wireless access, the Country Club gives you a chance to break away from daily stressors. This was a welcome retreat for me, just know this before you go.
