My wife and I stayed at Tapalpa De Mis Amores for two nights and it was a very pleasant experience. The room was very nice. But most of all, we really the details of the room. The bed was very nice and the toiletry amenities in the bathroom were one of the most hospitable that we have seen in some time. The pool was nice; though it can get a bit crowded. It's not huge. Also, breakfast is completely included for all guests. And it's a fairly decent breakfast. You can order chilaquiles, green or red. They're quite tasty. And the location is good. However, any place in town is a good location because it's a pretty small town. Oh. One other thing that I've not seen in a long time that was so great was that they offer bathrobes. I thought that was pretty nice.

“Nice pueblo, good option”

Is a nice pueblo, clean and well kept. It looks definitely safe. A big and original church, a spacious square by, nice shops that look typical and at the same time very nice. We had not too much problem in finding a parking spot near the center. Several activities are available near by. Good option… more

“Customer service needs improvement”

We very much enjoyed our time in Tapalpa, but would not stay here again. First, this not a small hotel (it has dozens of rooms and feels morel like a small resort). I booked through Expedia and "messaged" the hotel twice in the week leading up to our arrival, with never a response. We asked for advice on how to get to the hotel from the bus station, and ended up pulling our roller bags up and down over cobblestone streets. When we arrived, they did not have our reservation (fortunately I had the print out of the reservation, and that it was paid). The facilities are quite grand and luxurious. Although the "love" theme is a bit odd, the touches like the bar set up and the clawfoot tub in the room were fun (but not sufficient how water for a bath, and not a single hair dryer to borrow.. Breakfast by the pool was good, staff attentive. Our biggest stressor was the uncertainty of getting to the bus station on our departure. We needed a cab at 7:45 AM The young man at the desk the evening before said it may be too early in the morning to get one. We got up earlier enough that we'd have time to walk if need be, but my husband is 79 and had a painful knee, so to make that walk again was not what we wanted to do. The clerk called 3 different cab companies with no answer! But when i expressed my concern, he called the manager of the hotel at home who came in and personally drove us! In the end we got there in time.
