Just got back from 5 nights at this resort on the adults only side in a Star Class swim-out room. I have to say I was very impressed. The resort was impressive with a ton of great amenities you expect from this kind of place. Carla, who served us at Braza, and at the watch party for the Mexico World Cup game, was amazing. She made sure we were taken care of every time we saw her and always remembered us and had kind words to say. We were a large group of 10 spread out across 4 different rooms and our butlers, Edwar & Angel, were amazing. They were always available no matter what I needed, took care of every small problem we had, and totally took care of us. Booking restaurants for a large group in a bunch of rooms was a bit of a hassle but Edwar and Angel took care of everything for us. The food, the rooms, the pools, and defiantly the service were all above expectations. I would highly recommend this resort, I would do Star Class for sure, and I would also do a swim out room. 10/10

“Great Experience”

We had an incredible stay. Room was great. Food was above average. The best part were Allen and his team with all the events and programming that they put together every day.

First I’ll start with the pros: Butler Juan was AMAZING! He helped us out every day, especially so with some room Issues I had…. Antonio and Julio working as our servers while we were in the cabanas a few days - those guys were money - they went above and beyond every day and got us what we needed! Teppanyaki was good - couldn’t get a reservation so tried walking in - got right in. The spa was as very good. This place will never be a 5. Anyone that rates that is not honest. 4 is even being generous. The property, when viewed from a distance is very nice. When you get up close, it’s a mixed bag of what you might get. Cons: None of the food was amazing. We did get the lobster tail and tomahawk the night we did the steakhouse - both were mid. The rooms wreak - badly - of mold and moisture. I had to wash all of my clothes, including those I didn’t use, multiple times after I got home to get the odor out, and some of them I just couldn’t so threw them out. You notice it the first day, and then think your sense of smell gets used to it. When you get home and crack that suitcase it’s like a biohazard just got released in your home. The common areas and gym are ok. Sports bar food took forever - and is very small…. The buffet options were limited - desserts were the same the entire time we were there. Generally was not great. But he adults only breakfast place was always a gong show so ended up at the regular buffet. Another option or two for breakfast would be good. Check in was slow. Juan/Antonio/julio were the shining stars.

Hotel was not for us. First, we are not heavy drinkers or partygoers, so that’s on us. Going to the adult side, we thought it would be more relaxing but it was not. The beach, which was great, and was the only place to truly relax (unless you are seated next to loud guests). The pool was loud, and hot, and filthy with all the glasses abandoned around and in the pool. The staff could not keep up. Towels were strewn everywhere, even after guests leave the pool without putting their towels in the used towels bin. They really should only give out new towels when you return your used towels. The night entertainment was not great. No quiet area at hotel to just sit and listen to soft music, play cards…It was loud throughout and lots of drinking. That’s not us - our mistake - we chose the wrong hotel. The hotel itself, the grounds, the rooms, the AC, the wifi, the restaurants … were great. It was musty in the room and was surprised that there was no fan in the bathroom, but otherwise room and service in room was good.
