This is a very pleasant hotel among budget priced ones (approx $20/day for double occupancy). Air conditioned rooms, cable, nice restaurant and bar downstairs, friendly staff, and caring housekeepers. Breakfast was my favorite part :) I liked the capuchinos and omelettes very much (albeit I walked to a simpler restaurant down the street a few times just for fun). The showers/toilets very clean, with good water pressure and nice tile work. The only thing that was not good was that were only two outlets in the room to charge phones and both were at floor level and only one of them worked. We ended up charging the phones in the bathroom near sink, which is not the best place for a cell phone. All else was very good. Although there was no one who spoke English much, communication was easy and all requests were taken care of. I would definitely stay there again. It was in the middle of downtown shopping/walking square, walking distance to River walk attraction, and the money exchange was in the store around the corner. If price/location are your main criteria, that is the place.

I spent a couple of nights at Hotel L'Orbe recently. The hotel is conveniently located near the older centro area of Orizaba. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I had no troubles with checkin or my reservation. The room given to me was on the street side, and I thought it might be noisy at night. It was no problem to switch to an interior room, and I slept well. The room was clean, a little tired looking, and the linens were older. I think this is a value hotel, there may be better options if you want to spend more. The bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water. Soaps and shampoo were included. A very nice lady brought by a bottle of water each day for free. If I had a complaint it would be about the Wifi -- really not usable. The connection dropped about every 5 minutes. I don't know if they have a very short timeout on use or what, but it was hard to use. I did eat a meal in the attached restaurant, there are not many sit-down restaurants in the centro area of Orizaba. The meal was excellent, but prices are very high for what they are. Overall I enjoyed my stay, other than the Wifi issues.

“Good Hotel, Good Location”

We enjoyed the Hotel L'Orbe for it's central location, nice rooms and free WiFi in the room, which seems to be rare in Mexico. Only a few blocks from the main square, it's very convenient. Not fancy, but a good, solid choice in the nice town of Orizaba.
