Chablé Yucatan is awesome - highly recommended. Our family of 4 had an amazing time here. The Casitas are super spacious and very nice. The kids especially loved the private pool - although we spent even more time at the main pool. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful at every turn and the property itself has some much to enjoy you never have to leave. We did spend one day touring Uxmal with a stop in Mérida on a tour arranged by the hotel and it was a top notch experience as well. We liked it so much we would consider going back to this area just to stay at Chablé Yucatan again.

Top end beautiful hacienda hotel just outside Merida . I was iffy about booking a resorty type place because once you are in you are then stuck even if it is paradise , usually I don’t like it . Chable was different mainly because the food was not what I was expecting , high end but none the less generic hotel food , it was in fact the opposite. Much care and consideration as well as creativity has gone into sourcing ingredients and cooking on point , wonderful and delicious all of it at all restaurants from breakfast , lunch and dinners , huge congratulations to the chefs , kitchen team and servers , it was the stand out feature for us at Chable . Of course the suites were luxurious as one expects at that price point in Mexico and spotlessly clean . All facilities were great , I liked the gym and hydrotherapy pools and steam rooms etc all included in the room rate . I did not book any spa treatments because these out of everything ( room, food , drinks , wines ) I felt were not good value even for Chable , I would have felt fleeced if I had used the spa plus my next destination also has spa services so it was a no to that . But absolutely everything else was all worth it and I would return if I re visit Merida . Huge thank you to all at Chable , what a beautiful offering it is.

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous time at this magical hotel. Fantastic property, service, food, spa and sense of place. First, we were overwhelmed immediately by the sheer beauty of the property- both natural and man-made. The majestic trees that grace the property are truly magical and a supreme pleasure to behold. In addition, the attention to architectural, artistic, sculptural and design details was breathtaking. Seeing the niches carved out in the buildings to allow individual trees to continue to thrive, the whimsical circular wood “badges” attached to the tree by the pool restaurant, the incorporation of old stone walls from the original hacienda property, the life-like deer sculptures, metal human being sculptures, a pair of chairs and a table set in a shallow wading pool and other outdoor decor was terrific. And, inside the accommodations continue with masterful creativity- the all-important feeling of bringing the outside in with plentiful glass, beautiful art, signature indoor/outdoor rain showers, gorgeous carved stone bathtubs, wood pieces carved from property trees and, in one residence, the use of the tree roots as a master bedroom headboard- just magnificent! Everywhere we looked there was some charming, playful and creative touch. Because of the incorporation of so much Mayan culture into the environment, we came away with a deeper sense of place and people than we’ve ever experienced at a hotel. From the moment we arrived (and welcomed with a Mayan blessing ceremony by a shaman and abuella) we were gently and effectively immersed in rich Mayan traditions. Cuisine is outstanding. Our first night at Ixi’im was all it took for me to understand that I was completely wrong in steering away from Mexican cuisine in the - I now realize I had never tasted true Mexican cuisine before- all NYC has offered, has been TexMex or mediocre Mexican. And, the Mayan breakfast - cooked with love by the warm abuella- fantastic. Our room service dinner we ended up enjoying one evening was the best room service dinner we’ve ever had. That was due not only to the very high quality of the food but also to the wonderful descriptions of each dish from Carlos. Normally, room service is simply dropped off- more often than not lukewarm temperature and mediocre quality. Not so at Chable Yucatan. And, that evening we had an added treat of a fantastic tequila tasting with Samuel. His explanations of the tequila making and aging process, the different varieties and his family stories with tequila over the years were wonderful. The spa was another highlight. The spa manager, Sara, listened carefully to my husband’s explanation of his shoulder issues and guided him towards the best therapy. And, Iris (one of the talented massage therapists) then followed through with a tremendously effective healing massage. His shoulder hasn’t hurt since! We also loved learning about the honey production and organic elevated herb and vegetable gardens. Sophia was wonderful in explaining the processes and showing us the different types of bees and hives as well as letting us understand through the tasting the different end products. Both the General Manager,Leo, and the head of wellness and spa,Jocelyn do amazing jobs. We can’t wait to return.
