Marrakech is an amazing city and there is no better place to stay than Riad Alamine. Carine, Hassan and the team have created a lovely authentic guest experience right in the heart of the old city. They could not have been more helpful or hospitable, always being available with advice and assistance. The room was charming and authentic, and really comfortable. Breakfast is really a lovely experience here, including expertly baked pancakes and glorious orange juice, serviced on the roof terrace. This riad offers exceptional value for money for a most memorable experience. Can't wait to return!

To cut it short: Best Riad we had in Morocco!! Excellent price-performance-ratio, very clean, nice details of interior design and furnitures, very pleasant roof terrace, close to main attractions but thus very quiet, nice host who lives there as well, good lunch/diner opportunities close and even in-house, outstanding breakfast with homemade muffins and crepes/pancakes. Feels like home, will definitely book it when coming to Marrakech again. Thank you Carine and Hassan!

First of all let me begin by saying that all the older and unflattering reviews are from before Carine and her staff took over the management of this location. There are nothing but words of praise for what they do here. As such, this will be a very long review! The riad and the rooms: There are 5 rooms, each with their own bathroom, each decorated very tastefully with traditional garnishments, as is the whole Riad. The riad is located very close to the place jemmaa el-fna and Le Jardain Secret, and once you master the exact location there won't be a problem. The riad is vey quiet in comparisson to the hassle and noise from the street. You can only hear distant drum sounds from the market, and only from the terrasse. There are 2 terrasses, beautiful, and it's so nice to stay here on a warm evening! Cleanliness: EXTREMELY clean! The duration of our stay, every day there was someone cleaning. Breakfast and dinner: Latifah is an excellent cook! Breakfast was sufficient (coffee, tea, bread, croissants, pancakes, jam). We had dinner one night for 15 euros (starter, tajine, desert and a bottle of wine), just perfect. The host and staff: Carine is an excellent host! She is very kind and pleasant, and you can see that there is a western European vision regarding the management of the riad. Her right hand, Hassan, was SO HELPFUL we cannot begin to thank him. We booked a trip to the berber villages close to Marrakech and he was our guide, since the biggest village is actually his home. Plus, when we left, at 4 in the morning, he escorted us to the taxi. Congratulations Carine and her team for keeping such a nice place and thank you for making our stay so relaxing! Keep up the great work!

I stayed at this riad for three nights. I've been visiting Morocco on and off for the last twenty years and stayed in various Imperial cities and up to the border with Algeria. I didn't book this riad, someone else did and when I checked the reviews I was looking forward to staying there. I can honestly say that I don't know why the reviews state "superb", that wasn't my experience. The location is great, short distance to Jemaa El Fna and the breakfast is good, I enjoyed the coffee and the traditional "M'semen". But unfortunately this riad has failed to deliver on the basic needs of a good night sleep and an efficient drainage in the shower room (I was standing in a pool of water while showering because it didn't drain properly). I hardly slept on the first night because I was itchy, the bed was not comfortable and the mattress too thin, On the next day, I moved room but unfortunately my experience hasn't improved. The mattress once again was non existent and this time the pillows were just a sponge and didn't offer any support. Having slept in my sleeping bag I managed to get a slightly better sleep but my body was just achy and so decided to head to hammam for a scrub and a deep tissue massage. I get it this is a three star riad but still the basic of B&B is foremost a comfortable bed, a hot shower and a decent breakfast. It scored on the breakfast, hot shower and friendly staff members especially Karim. He is a nice guy doing his best. I was suppose to stay an extra night but I decided to cancel it. I personally would not recommend this place if you are like me you appreciate and need a good night sleep. Furthermore, the stairs are very narrow and steep. This place has a potential to be a "hidden gem" with decent mattresses, good drainage and decent size towels for adults. The owner is a genuine hardworking lady but she is missing the point of the basics B&B provision.
