The staff are what makes this hotel, as they are extremely friendly and helpful. We are vegetarians and they made is special breakfast dishes that were delicious. They also wrote a note for us in Burmese to use in town that explained we don't eat meat. Most rooms don't have windows, which would have been nice, but otherwise were very comfortable. As my son, who has traveled a lot in Asia said: "I was amazed that every item in the room worked!"

After checking in we had to change rooms immediately because they had given us two single beds and unfortunately the previous guest had smoked in the room. After checking in we had to change rooms immediately because they had given us two single beds and unfortunately the previous guest had smoked in the room. We then had a room inside the hotel with no windows so it was always a bit damp until we turned on the AC. Towels and bedding was dirty so we asked for exchanging them which was no problem and quickly done. Since other travellers picked up on the same issue it might be worth changing some of their towels/bedding. Very friendly staff at reception and breakfast. Considering the price we were happy with the breakfast. We also tried the free bikes which is quite an experience in Mandalay. If you are looking for a simple place to stay for 1-2 nights then we can recommend this place!

We stayed there for two nights in two different rooms because we made a mistake when booking. The staff was fantastic, doing everything they could. However, the hotel is starting to get old and the building has its limitations such as - no windows in many rooms and the breakfast room - very loud, since doors let through most noise from outside the room - uncomfortable neon light in rooms - smelly drains - dirty joins etc in shower Certainly impeccable value for money at 22 USD, however do not understand why this hotel ranks so high overall in Myanmar, even for non price sensitive sorting. Still, thank you very much for the stay!
