Top notch service by staff at reception and security staff. We booked the suite room which was huge, with a large sitting area. Very centrally located opposite the train station. We visited the rooftop bar 3 nights in a row. Breakfast was ok with western n local spread. For me, the downside was that our room was by the main road n honking of cars started at 6+am which disturbed my sleep.

“Good location and price - beware the group tours”

The hotel is located perfectly, just opposite the train station. Something that becomes extra valuable if you get in around 11pm...Staff and services are good, and the room was ok. A bit sad that it didn't have a window, but on the other hand, the soundproofing was super good, so you don't really hear the busy roads. You do, however, risk hearing - not to mention constantly running into - large groups of Chinese tourists. Nothing against the Chinese, but based on the experience in Myanmar they do seem to treat travel (including hotel breakfast) in a way that seems inspired by Mongol raids of yesteryear....

We stayed only 2 nights here. Our room was spacious with a big hard and surprisingly comfy bed and pillows. We slept soundly on both nights and were only on floor 4 next to the busy road, but we couldn't hear it. I give this hotel only 3 out of 5 because when we checked-in the receptionist was grum… more

We stayed only 2 nights here. Our room was spacious with a big hard and surprisingly comfy bed and pillows. We slept soundly on both nights and were only on floor 4 next to the busy road, but we couldn't hear it. I give this hotel only 3 out of 5 because when we checked-in the receptionist was grumpy, the room wasn't thoroughly clean and breakfast was disappointing. If I returned to this city I'd stay elsewhere, somewhere that has a good restaurant because there aren't that many good clean restaurants in this city.

I stayed for 4 nights in November. I had a large and spacious room. The bed was nice and comfortable, excellent pillows! The bathroom needs updating and the shower was cold 2 out the 4 times I used it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok, but limited in choice, I think it was geared more towards the Asian clientele.

We stayed for one night coming from the Shan State en route to Bagan. The first room they offered was a smokers room which a loot of parfume applied too very the smell. We got another room without any discussion which was far more better, clean and huge, so nothing to complain here. However the hotel lacks any atmosphere. The breakfast is definitely on the downside - very poor. There are better hotels in Mandalay.
