“For a one night stay it met requirements.”

It is a simple hotel but met our needs and the breakfast was good as was the bungalow in which we stayed. The lake (reservoir ) on which it sits is being immersed in water hyacinth which means that the outlook is not what it might be.

This is a lovely spot with rooms overlooking a lake but not sure about the resort tag. Very comfortable with a basic but adequate bathroom. “Fairly Ordinary”

Nothing particularly wrong with it, but it was nothing special. It looks great from outside, but inside it is a normal Myanmar hotel where you have to call reception every time you want to have something working like the TV. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but it was nothing special. It looks great from outside, but inside it is a normal Myanmar hotel where you have to call reception every time you want to have something working like the TV. Then they send someone to your room who then decides that it is a satellite box problem. This happened twice. Room is the standard bungalow design. Bathrooms was disappointing. Breakfast was okay without being anything more. The service is intense at times without much result...except sorry. The bungalows are spread out , it is quite a walk. They have buggies , but good luck getting one back from you room without a wait.

We stayed here for one night in February 2020..... didn't really know what to expect in a Myanmar provincial town. First impressions were very good - grandish entrance and very attentive staff. The grounds are nicley laid out, we had a bungalow overlooking the lake. All very nice. However, having done all the difficult stuff, some of the simple stuff was poor. The wifi didn't work - there was a signal but no connectivity. The shower nect to the bath didn't work. Again at breakfast the setting was very very nice but the selection poor. One ,may think I am being harsh for a provintial hotel - but all the things that were a let down were things that could be sorted easily.

“Mixed feelings but positive thoughts.”

Spent, just one night at this mid range hotel so it’s hard to give a definitive assessment although overall not too bad especially if you upgrade to one of the bungalows overlooking the lake. Spent, just one night at this mid range hotel so it’s hard to give a definitive assessment although overall not too bad especially if you upgrade to one of the bungalows overlooking the lake. Good points . a)Friendly staff . b) Reasonably good food in “The Dining Hall” and good service. c) plenty of hot water d) a nice swimming pool that’s if your tour guide allows you time from relentless but interesting temple visits and sun sets (which incidentally is rather good over the lake) Not so good points. a)Many Mosquitoes. ( ask for coils ) b)Loud noice and 24 hour,megaphone chanting from nearby temple and competing rock music during festival times . ( unavoidable I’m afraid ) So expect sleepless nights during this period unless you suffer from hearing loss. And by the way, on a very practical point, somewhere to hang towels and bathrobes might be helpful. Still it’s all part of the Myanmar experience which is wonderful and enriching in so many many ways . Accommodation is what it is ( especially outside Yangon) and this, alongside the Buddhist way, makes one realise how spoilt one may have become in life.
