Resort is exceptional. Our suite was comfortable and the warm fire very relaxing. The bed was huge. Great views over the golf course. Hole in One food was of a high standard. I had a massage in the spa with Joanne. Excellent. My husband played golf and said it was a great course. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Free bus into Queenstown was a bonus. I didn’t want to leave here. Hopefully we will get to come back one day. Thank you to all the staff.

“Stunning resort”

Amazing time at Millbrook. Autumn is a great time to go.

We drove here from Queenstown. It is a very pretty golf resort with a spa. We started with a snack at Hole in One Cafe - it was very busy and so service was a little slow but it was nice to sit outdoors near the golf course. We then went for massages at the spa. This was also very busy with a children's party using the two functioning outdoor jacuzzis. There is also a small lane pool. These are both separate from massage area but can be used if you book a treatment. The spa is quite a long walk from the main car park which was also quite full. We had good massages and felt relaxed - it wasn't too busy although you could hear the children's party at times. The whole resort is very attractive and there is also a lovely drive back to Queenstown via Arthur's Seat.

We have visited Millbrook more than 20 times over the years, and generally want to give great reviews, for the location if nothing else. We have visited Millbrook more than 20 times over the years, and generally want to give great reviews, for the location if nothing else. The Hole in One bar and Millhouse restaurant were both very good, with prompt service and good food. Breakfast was good, but it does feel odd to pay a part charge for coffee when this is an inclusion at many hotels these days, The grounds are in immaculate condition, which adds real charm. Front of house service was pleasant and professional, but lacked the ability to effect change. We had expressed a preference for a couple of specific units which the hotel was unable to meet (we do understand this, even though the booking were made in October last year). On paper the room allocated was in the same area but lacked the specific amenities we were looking for. Our strong preference if for a room with a fire, which ours did not, and it was a disabled unit, so toilet and Shower were disappointing. We asked to change, but were told this was not possible. It should be noted that the carpet in the unit was very badly marked, and could be considered for cleaning or replacement. Millbrook is still one of our favourite place to stay, and we will be back, but hope for a better outcome on room selection.
