Being just outside the village of Geiranger on its own means this hotel's location is even more tranquil that those of the other hotels there.
The hotel consists of newly built main building and a collection of smaller log cabins. The hotel occupies the main building which is of wooden construction resembling a chalet style ski resort hotel. The hotel is actually built into the the hill coming up from the Fjord, entrance to the hotel is actually on the 6th floor and then you take the elevator down to the reception. .The Grande Fjord hotel enjoys a spectacular location on the banks of the geirnagerfjord.
Located on the top floor it is an informal quiet restaurant.

“Gorgeous views”
Fantastic views from a hotel one mile from the madness that is Geiranger when the cruise ships arrive. “Highly recommend”
Really enjoyed our stay, room on 6th floor with great views of fjord. Room and bathroom although on the small side was functional. Dyson fan/heater helps keeps temperature in the room comfortable. “Recommendable”
The hotel is located just outside the village of Geiranger, away from the busy center. A shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes, making it easy to get around. “Aaah. The serenity!”
There is possibly no better location than this. Every room faces the fjord. Balcony’s allow you to relax and watch the sun disappear behind the mountains and the Gerainger lights twinkle on. Service was immaculate too!
