The apartment was absolutely amazing! Beautifully decorated (the common areas as well), so clean that it looked completely new and so quiet that we’ve never slept better in a hotel. Central location in a lovely quiet neighborhood, the view from the room was great (a combination of neighborhood and city view) and the hotel had a laundry room. The only minus, if any, is that the communication with the hotel staff prior to our arrival was quite cold and unwelcoming, they sounded almost a bit annoyed, and my wife wanted to cancel. Thankfully we didn’t. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to stay for only one night, it’s minimum two nights. If one night becomes possible in the future, we’ll stay here every time as we’re often in Oslo for both business and leisure.

greetings, recently spent four nights at the saga apartments as part of our vacation in Norway. we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed this apartment throughout our stay at a reasonable cost (mind you... everything is expensive in Norway). we got an apartment on the 7th floor with a private balcony and great views of the city towards the fjord. yes you have to pick up the key from the saga hotel (5 minutes walk ) which was not an issue at all and it was very clearly stated when we made reservation - i don't understand why some people complains about this to be honest... the location is excellent. it is one block away from a major commercial street with restaurants, shops, etc.. (and the tramway stops). while the apartment building itself is in a residential neighbourhood so no street noise , no issues for a good night of sleep - so for us it was perfect. and it felt perfectly safe. some people complains that it is 'far' from main attractions - i personally disagree - you can walk to the palace and main park in 10 minutes for example and if you need to go to let's say munch museum or city hall it's either a 30 minutes walk or a 10 minutes tramway ride - so no issue at all in my opinion. - the tramway system is super simple to navigate, clean and efficient and on-time. get yourself an OSLO pass and you get unlimited use of the transit system within the city. the apartment is small (for north american standard..) but totally optimised for space saving and everything was working fine (even had a small dishwasher). the bed was very comfy and we had good sleep quality throughout our stay - no issues with noise either from other guests or other adjacent apartments. we did not experience any issues with the water pressure or hot water supply during our stay (saw some comments on that from other reviews). there is no A/C system - so i don't know if this could be an issue during the summer months - but please note that you can open windows that are oriented towards the fjord so you get some air flow from there. the kitchen has the basic stuff and a nespresso machine - you can ask for additional pods at the main hotel reception when you run out of coffee. we used the kitchen for our breakfast and we always picked-up food from nearby restaurants, sushi, etc.. and had our dinner at the apartment - after long days walking and exploring the city that was perfect for us to unwind. Wifi worked fine - no issued there. there is a TV - but almost all the channels are in Norwegian - was funny to watch the news before going to bed in the evening. Oslo is a great city - under the radar compared to other European capitals - and still not contaminated with the over-tourism plague that affects a lot of other main European capitals - definitely a great place to visit and a great experience overall. would go back to saga apartments to enjoy it anytime. Thanks PS: Go to the city hall and visit the inside - it is spectacular and free. the museums on bygdoi peninsula are a must as is the munch museum (even if you are not a fan of munch paintings) - the building itself is spectacular. Review for Saga Hotel Apartments. I had no problems checking in at the hotel a few blocks away, as it was on the way from the train station to the apartment (Nationaltheater station, with Flytoget from the airport). Check out was also very easy, and I didn't need the reception during my stay. The apartment had everything I needed, it was equied with iron, an electric fan, and enough kitchen equipment. It also had a fire extinguisher in the room, great safety feature missing in many hotel rooms. The space was just enough for two people, and a nice detail with the 'screen' between bed and the rest of the apartment, so you could get a little privacy there. The TV was adjustable so you could either see it from the bed, the couch or the dining table. It had BBC News, DW News, and many Scandinavian channels. The apartment was very clean, and the cleaning standard was in the higher end compared to all the hotels Ive lived in. Bed was comfortable, not too soft, not too hard. The large pillows was perfect for sitting up in the bed reading or watching TV. The apartment had a nice little balcony. The apartment was on the northwest side of the building, and the sun was only there from late afternoon. If the weather had been better, I'm sure I could have enjoyed the balcony in the evening. The location was perfect for me, the neighbourhood was quiet, and stores and restaurants was only a short walk away. I didn't find any negative about this apartment, but one single thing. If you are just a tiny bit noise sentitive, especially if you need to go back to the apartment to recharge during the day, I cannot recommend this place. In the morning, from at least 7 am, and maybe a bit earlier, I could hear the sound of doors "slamming" (the heavy apartment doors closing), and general 'scrambling' of what I think was the cleaning personel. This is what would be expected in a hotel, although the sound of the doors was a bit to excessive. However, I was at the apartment to relax in the afternoon, and I heard constant sound of heels walking and chairs being draged around on hardwood floor all afternoon. At last I went onto the floor above mine to locate the sound, and two apartments in the same side of the build as my apartment, was open. On the door was logos of what appeared to be a Rental company. I don't know if they used the apartments as an office, or they had an 'open house' during the day, but the sound was very irritating. I ended up wearing noise cancelling earphones most of the afternoon to relax. I stayed for two nights, and the noise was pretty much the same on the second day.
