“Great suite, price, and location”

I booked this suite as part of a package with Sam's Tours. The suite was spacious and clean, with a couch, armchair, and TV. The AC was excellent! The shower wasn't always consistent with temperature, but that's what I expect in most inexpensive places. The staff was friendly and professional. It's just down the street from Sam's, which is convenient for diving. There is a BBI bus stop across the street at Cafe Vita, and you buy the bus pass ($8 for a week) down the street at Palau Royal Resort. This is super convenient to get to downtown after 5pm. My only complaint is that the wifi is terrible and only available in the lounge. Go down the street to Drop Off Bar and Grill and use their much faster wifi instead.

Having selected the least expensive lodging option that our dive tour operator offered, we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the accommodations were. Okay, it's not much to look at (located above an auto parts store) nor is there a view but the suite was huge with a living area, bedroom, bathroom, and small kitchen that included a real stove, refrigerator, cooking utensils, and dishes. The beds were comfortable. The A/C was cold. The water was hot and had plenty of pressure. There's a restaurant on site with decent food (though we only ate there once). The staff was friendly, happily gave us extra towels, and provided middle of the night airport pickup and drop off. Finally, it's walking distance to Sam's Tours, the scuba diving operator that was the focus of our visit to Palau. Other than the lack of a tropical island resort view (which we couldn't afford), the only downside from our perspective was the sketchy WiFi that you had to pay for and it didn't work more often than it did.

Huge room=Living room+bedroom+ensuite. Booked as part of scuba dive package with Sam's Tours. Very short walk to Sam's. Also, a short walk to Kings Convenience store, which I highly suggest for a good, cheap take away meal. It's where the locals go. You can get 2 nice pieces of fried chicken and rice for about $3. Probably the best deal on the island, which is not a cheap destination. Other choices are also available

“Decent large room”

Rooms are large and have a decent size tv with cable. There is a good restaurant in the hotel. It is convenient if you are diving out of Malakal island. The hotel is rather aprtan on any type of shampoos and soaps so pick up some before you check in.
