“Cheap hotel, nice location but a little dusty and old.”

The hotel is cheap and the location is good. The staff is friendly, but the hotel is dusty and old! If you don't care about luxury, and don't have much money, this hotel is a good option. The breakfast is poor, but you can buy something to eat at the grocery stores near the hotel.

Upon arriving in Lima at 130 in the morning, I was picked up by my boyfriend and was recommended to this hotel by our taxi driver. The smallest room that they had available was a suite, which upon entry was a hallway type lane with a 4 person dining table right before reaching the bathroom, as well as a separated room containing two beds. With this being my first trip outside of North America and being accustomed to staying at 4-5 star hotels, it was far from my comfort zone, but after viewing other hotels in the middle of the night, I realized that unless I was to pay a significant amount more, I would not be getting upgraded facilities, so back to this hotel I went. Upon checking in, they escorted me to my room, as well as took care of my luggage for me (which is nice considering it is a simple hotel with a very cheap room rate - around $30US for one night). They also explained everything that they had to offer (free internet, breakfast, etc.) to my boyfriend in Spanish as he had been doing most of the talking. At the time, I despised the room and the hotel altogether, but thinking back on it, the hotel really wasn't that bad. My only complaints would be the smell of the room - I can't put my finger on it, but it was almost a bit musky, so much so that I had to spray my perfume all around the suite. The only other complaint that I had was the hot water, or lack thereof. There was absolutely no hot water while I was taking a shower. Until of course I was finished and the hot water started to flow and I was able to salvage a rocky start to my day. All in all, I personally wouldn't choose this hotel as my first or second choice when returning back to the city, but it's not to say I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. My room was more than spacious, there was an armoir where you could both hang and fold your clothes, and there was a large table for your workspace. This hotel is also located in Miraflores, the touristy area of Lima and is in walking distance to everything (Larcomar, Parque del Amor, restaurants, casinos, etc.)
