The location is beautiful – a small private island with a nice house reef (this was one of our main selection criteria), so you can snorkel directly along the beach for many hours. The water temperature of around 30°C makes it even more attractive. We were picked up from the airport by bus and then taken to the island by a private boat. The trip was an attraction itself :) The staff are absolutely amazing. They greet you many times a day, from the reception staff to the gardeners, and everyone is very polite. The reaction time to any problems or requests is remarkable – usually within minutes. You can really experience nature at this resort, starting with the sounds of bats at night, and even komodo dragons walking around the island, which are quite an attraction. There are also pelicans hunting for the food in the restaurant literally eating from your hand, There are lots of natural sounds and many birds. You have plenty of privacy everywhere, and there are no problems finding sunbeds or space on the beach. The island is large enough for nice walks along the beach on the beautiful white sand, it is worthwhile taking a picture with the arriving catamarans especially at the sunset. Majority of rooms are a bit older so do not expect luxury there, but everything is functional. We were glad to stay in the pavilions. The beach bungalows have a great location, but they are also quite old, so in our opinion they are not worth the high price. However there is ongoing construction so there will be new luxury accommodations on the opposite site of the island. The restaurants are rather overpriced compared to the mainland, but the food quality is good and the staff are excellent. When travelling through Philippines I recommend visiting a resort like this first, this will offset some disappointments that you encounter when travelling inland later.

“Best honeymoon we could ever ask for 🫶🏼”

Everything went so smoothly from booking our stay to our final day. The airport pick up was punctual, and when we arrived on the island, they greeted us with cold towels on a really hot day and a nice welcome drink. Everything went so smoothly from booking our stay to our final day. The airport pick up was punctual, and when we arrived on the island, they greeted us with cold towels on a really hot day and a nice welcome drink. Also, they went above and beyond for us, making our bed with these really cute towel, creations and always greeting us “Congratulations” for getting married. Our sunset cruise was stunning. Our special dinner by the beach was unforgettable. We are really happy with our experience and we see that place as paradise and we’re so glad that we chose Discovery Coron as our honeymoon destination. We hope to come back on our 10th anniversary!

A very nice private island location, maybe best for couples. Very good service, always so friendly people. Food in restaurants good, not excellent. People with physical challenges might have problems getting in to the island if the waves are rough, there is no pier. The beach is beautiful , but a bit steep, not for children. And waves are always a bit rough. Not so much to see in the sea snorkeling. If you are a group of less than 4 , dont plan to have any adventures or trips happening from the island arranged by the resort. Trips dont happen if there are not enough partisipants. We waited 5 days for any trips and didnt get any. Spa was nice, but there was not enough free appointmenttimes. We had a very nice sunset villa on the beach. The nature villa was not so nice. My birthday was nicely noted.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the resort. The main positives are the amazing location, spectacular beach and the polite and courteous staff. We stayed in the sunset villa - they look dated from outside but are clean and comfortable inside. The bed was huge and pillows were some of the best I have ever had. The bathrooms are modern and stocked with all the amenities. The complimentary water bottles, daily snack, reef friendly sun screen and insect repellents are a great touch. However, there are a couple of things that let the resort down for me. The food is average, though there are vegetarian options albeit limited. When we arrived, we were told that day trips organised by the resort could be booked up to 4pm the following day. We went early in the afternoon to book one of the island hopping trips for the following day and were told that no boats were available. Sadly we didn’t have the option to do it the following day as we were due to depart that day. So we basically ended up spending our 3 days just on the island and I think that is the main downside. If you want to do the Coron tour A, you need to get a boat to Busuanga island, get a van to Coron town and then do the tour A circuit. So if you want to see Coron, you are better off staying elsewhere. Oh and offering just 4 capsules of coffee is a bit miserly.
