We had our very first family trip to Bohol to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. Other family members are also celebrating our birthdays near this date so we had a big combined celebration. We stayed 3 nights and booked 2 rooms. There are no adjoining rooms available but the hotel made sure that our two rooms are on the same floor. The staff kindly helped arranged for a special surprise of 3 bouquets of flowers and a birthday cake setup in a room. The request was for a regular bouquet for my mom and two smaller ones, but all looked similar. The choice of flower colors and and floral wrap designs also looked random so it was a bit confusing which one to give to whom. White flowers also seem not that appropriate for a birthday. The birthday cake was still inside a box with no candle. There were also no cutlery and plates to share it, so it looked more like a takeout delivery. But I understand that the staff were rushing to prepare the room when we arrived so had no time to setup the cake. I would suggest being extra clear and detailed with instructions for special requests to avoid such unexpected outcome. It was definitely a mistake on my part in assuming that details like this are already taken cared of. But I was happy to see that towel cake which the staff kindly prepared to decorate the bed. Overall, my mom and niece were so happy to see this surprise. I caught it on video and it is definitely my most favorite memory of our stay in Bohol, even more precious that the dolphins, turtles, tarsiers, churches and chocolate hills. The rooms are very clean. I liked that the floors are made of wood vinyl and not carpet which feels more hygienic and also more laid back. Beds and pillows are comfy. And the TV can be linked to your own YouTube or Netflix account. The only thing I didn't like was the half glass shower partition which makes the bathroom easy to get wet. The water pressure can also get low in the morning (pulsating high and low pressure) so the shower got a bit inconvenient to use. The hotel is on the quieter side of Alona beach so it feels more peaceful. There's a live band playing on the beachfront at night, but they stop at 10pm to allow guests to rest. The location is very convenient with restaurants and shops right on the beach front. The designated loading area of boats to Balicasag Island is just a few meters walk on the right side of the beach (Hennan would be the farthest to walk from). The lobby concierge can assist with hailing tricycles if you plan to go to the poblacion area (Panglao Church) or any of the popular restos (Mist, Mossa, etc). As the airport is very near, we were able to arrange tours within Panglao Island before checking in, and in South Farm and Tagbilaran City after checking out. There's a seawall currently being built along the whole stretch of the beach and not a lot of people are swimming, but the beach in front of Hennan is just a short walk and it is quite nice. The amenities are well maintained and the breakfast buffet is tasty and had good variety. It would have been good to include local dishes like Bam-i, dried fish or an Asin Tibuok taster (like grating it over ice cream or salad) in the breakfast spread. Yogurt would be good for fruits, and fresh (instead of instant powder) fruit juice. Seating is comfortable and there's no queue to get in. Staff can also arrange for takeout breakfast if you're planning to leave the hotel early. The staff are courteous and attentive. But I feel like they are more on the business-y than friendly side, or maybe just shy to approach guests to ask feedback or do some small talk. Interaction with the online staff (viber/messenger) may also feel a bit rigid, but they are responsive and accommodates requests professionally. The people of Bohol are genuinely caring people and we didn't feel that we are taken advantage of as tourists. This hotel is no exception as they offer great service and value for money. It also has that casual modern vibe for families and barkadas, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Our first stay in Bohol had been very memorable. Thanks to the staff of this hotel for making everything so comfortable for us.

We stayed in BWP from March 21 - 24. The room was a deluxe room with ocean view. The room when we arrived was very clean, not much noise can be heard. The view of the ocean is alright, there's a construction in front but it's not really their fault. The location is a bit difficult due to the entrance going to the hotel gets a bit flooded with a bit of rain. The breakfast has some good options. I would say that the price is worth it because of the staff. The staff is what made this place good and worthwhile. The staff are friendly, very attentive to needs and they open your door when you get picked up for tours, your bags get delivered to your room without charge. I would stay in this place again because of the staff.
