“Awesome stay”

Best place i have stayed in Cebu, super friendly and accomodating. Very peaceful and quiet. Very clean rooms, Will stay here every trip to cebu, excursions will come right to resort and pick you up. Has great wifi, will stream movies, good cell signal as well

“sparkle pool award”

This is a great resort, quite with good size rooms. The staff were wonderful and breakfast each morning was scrumptious. The pool is well maintained and the cleanest we have found in Philippines. It’s only a 10 minute walk to the town, restaurants and noisy bars. Highly recommended.

Positives: Stayed five nights. The resort is blissfully quiet. Easy fifteen minute stroll to town for dinner each night. Breakfasts at the hotel are very good. Snorkeling straight out to the coral wall drop-off from the resort is easy. (At low tide use the sidewalk two properties to the south.) Compared to Thailand, Mexico, Honduras etc., some of the best snorkeling we have experienced in the past 40 years. So many new kinds of fish!, turtles, snakes (banded sea kraits) etc... Poppey and all the staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. Beds are quite good. Hot water in showers. Great value for the money. Take extra care not to damage the coral or harass the marine wildlife. Think about future generation's enjoyment of what it there now. Improvements: Chairs around the property are all quite uncomfortable. Pool is nice although they overdo the chlorine quite a bit. We asked them to dial it back. An electric tea kettle in the room would be nice to make instant coffee/tea.

So much missed potential in this property. We rated this a 3 overall but it has the potential to be a 5 given the price point. The rooms are basic but clean, service is good (but, with a few exceptions, not exactly enthusiastic), food is ok, pool is good. BUT it’s only all basic. Service could be hugely improved with a little more proactive friendliness. We asked about snorkelling and were told to go to main range pangsaman beach BUT the snorkelling off the hotel beach is fantastic. Why don’t they share this? they offer snorkels but you have to ask. Nobody seems to use the kayaks. Another review mentioned seeing turtles at breakfast - this is a myth BUT we did see a turtle at the reef. The grounds are well kept, in places, unkempt in others. The reception direction sign at the entrance lies on its side but the gardeners appear to take great care of the lawns. However, piles of beer bottles were left in various places for days. The pool is a lovely feature. Small and clean but the tiles are dated and the hot tub doesn’t work. The food is ok for the price but they charge extra for brewed coffee at breakfast and often run out. We had dinner one night, which was nice, but weren’t tempted any other night because of the lack of atmosphere. They stop serving everything (including drinks!) At 8pm!! Families be warned… Why don’t they train the security guard they leave behind to serve drinks and have a little music playing or lights on after 8pm? We asked about tours, got no information. Rooms were very clean but very dated. Air con was good. Shower was hot but not great. This could be such a fantastic little resort if it stepped up its game. Some lights would be nice. Step up the service. Get some new pool furniture (we can’t read on our backs!!). Advertise your own resources. In summary - good value but you’ll use it as a base rather than a resort so plan accordingly.
