Had an awesome 4 night stay at Cebu. Property is well maintained with awesome and super helpful staff. Special mention for Fer for helping us with midnight checkin and AJ for helping us with booking Taxi in morning hours for the airport :-)

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve stayed in this hotel and has never considered staying here again after the damaged from Typhoon Odette. I decided to give it a try since the nearby resorts I’ve generally stayed are unavailable and I never regretted the decision. The service is so much better from checkin to checkout. Melch who was attending me at the front desk is just so helpful that I even enrolled in their explorer program. Guia in Sails had been very helpful and accommodating. The chocolate hour every 3 pm at Sails was new to me and I enjoyed it. The breakfast fare is excellent and the menu selection over dinner was good. The beachfront remained to be the best part of the property as always. All the staff made my pre-birthday gift for myself a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be back more frequently in the coming months. Thank you so very much to the staff for rendering an excellent service.

“Exceptional Service Marred by Poor Front Desk Experience”

I would like to start by giving a special mention to the following staff members for their excellent service: • Dining & Service: Claudio (the absolute best at the BBQ!), Rey (Public Attendant), Eric, Roi, Rochelle, Lester, Jhunryl, Melch, Justine, Rigel, and Gouia. • Concierge: AJ, Kim Kim, and Edgar. These individuals truly understand hospitality. Unfortunately, my experience was significantly soured by BG at the front desk. Front Desk Issues BG was notably rude and lacked the sensitivity required for a customer-facing role. In hospitality, you must be able to adjust your pace and tone regardless of the situation. Guests pay a premium for service, yet I felt there was no "justice" or professional care provided here. Furthermore, BG lacked the confidence to handle a very simple inquiry, constantly deferring to a manager. To grow in this role, one needs to be exposed to different guest temperaments to build resilience and problem-solving skills. Room Quality & Accommodations We booked two rooms, and the discrepancy between them was jarring: • Room 1 (Modern): Updated, comfortable, and met expectations. • Room 2 (Outdated): This room was a major "thumbs down." The decor felt gloomy—almost like a funeral home—largely due to a large lamp with a flickering yellow light. Between the dated furniture and the ancient TV, it felt neglected compared to the other room. Final Thought: While the service team at the BBQ and concierge are carrying this hotel’s reputation, the front desk training and room consistency need immediate attention from management.
