We’ve stayed here twice now (11 years apart) and it’s still our favourite in Boracay! The staff are so lovely, the location is quieter than station 2, the amenities and rooms are clean and modern, you just can’t beat it :)

Ambassador in Paradise is one of the most beautiful resorts in all of Boracay. The location is breath taking, with easy access to a stunning beach front. The staff are incredibly welcoming and treat you like family. This is our second time staying here, and we will definitely be back!

It may not be a luxury if you compare it in terms of amenities , furnitures and newer hotels....but if you are looking to experience Boracay and why it became famous, stay here in Ambassador. Pros: 1. The Family room is good for 6. This is 2 king California king size bed with 2 single bunk bed. There is 2 sink , a separate toilet and a separate shower with bath tub. Room size is bigger than most newer hotels, plus the beach front of this hotel has the most coconut trees in station 1.... so the hotel beachfront doesnt feel so hot compare to a hotel with so much concrete and glass. The air flows good because the hotel was designed not to maximize getting more customers and fitting rooms into spaces but rather ALL the rooms is facing /slant facing the beach so it feels like a real beach holiday just for you . (Most newer hotel rooms are facing each other like a dorm but rooms) 2. Shortest walk from main road -lobby-to your room, access by elevator or stairs vs walking in alley ways or zigzag with elevators inside hotel vicinity. Plus they have beach wheelchairs for assistance to room and the al fresco (Beachfront restaurant) . -if you have elderly /seniors better get the family rooms vs the other rooms near the pool. Why? - Stair access only. 3. Acoustic / Live singer every night 6pm-9pm by the beach. You dont need to go to Station 2 just to hang out, its all here (a romantic dinner with a singer with guitar with your family, good food and possible light drink with live music till 9pm) all in the beach front without the crowd. for relaxing, with family , kids, and elderly, this is the spot. They have fire dancers Fridays and Saturdays (as of apr2026) 4. Food. I recommend Lemongrass grilled Chicken , all pizzas , Black risotto surf and turf. Breakfast is limited- and it's okay. They have an egg station, a waffle station, a choice of breads pastries, a salad bar and usual Filipino breakfast. They also have Plant based food options in the back of the menu. You have to confirm with staff if food has pork , regarding some dishes on their menu (ex. burger) 5. Staff. Truly warm smiles. great security at the beach front, has turn down service and housekeeping is on time with cleaning rooms. 6. Flowers - the hotel is surrounded by bougainvillea and hibiscus plants when its flowering season. This may seem small to others but, in all the white Beach Station 1 , it made our stay feel like we are really one with nature. I Think the only hotel that would rival this was Fridays (which closed already) and maybe sea wind (havent stayed there but their beach front restaurant is also nice and quiet. Most hotels would feel like city life but 10% beach. Now the Cons. 1. You'll feel its outdated (and it is), comparing from the new hotels (lind, discovery, hennan) -but if you are looking for beach life, tranquility and away from concrete jungle but still has a wifi that extends to the beach-go here. I am sharing this, even though I wanted this to be my secret... i wish for others to experience a nice beach holiday especially if you are a new mom or taking care of aging parents. 2. Transport: although they will seamlessly transport you from airport,jetty to hotel, their own private Speedboat is not available during our stay (but they will book a boat partner from the Jetty so expect to pass thru the public port. ******This will be a BIG problem if you have an elderly who cannot walk. (if you will be flying in Manila. -if they cannot walk , do not book this hotel unless it is really sure that their private Speedboat is available or they can handle walk at the port. I expected this because a similar review about this was posted here.

“White Lotus, THEN…”

We arrived with a great reception. Spent hundreds on Honeymoon Suite - great room. Front desk responded quickly when asked. Went to restaurant - staff everywhere, maybe a little too helpful. We arrived with a great reception. Spent hundreds on Honeymoon Suite - great room. Front desk responded quickly when asked. Went to restaurant - staff everywhere, maybe a little too helpful. Saw the acoustic musician, dance and fire show - loved it. Then, waiter disappeared, in fact, most the staff disappeared. Waited 15 minutes for check, then hunted someone down to pay, paid in cash. We went to room. Called front desk for ice, they were helpful earlier. They said we didn’t pay bar bill…. Then asked if we had ordered ice previously. I replied yes. They said to call restaurant. I did, they said I had requested ice previously, and I would be charged. They brought a bill for 55 pesos - about $1. Why in the world would a resort do that? Immediately my impression of Ambassador in Paradise went to hell. I have 2 days left and will make every effort to not spend another peso here.
