From the time we arrived we were impressed. What a lovely hotel, really nicely furnished. The welcome was excellent, friendly and informative. The room was spotless, comfy and awesome pillow choice. Breakfast was lovely and I would have no hesitation in staying here again and looking at their hotels when visiting other parts of Poland.

“The Ideal Hotel for a Stay in Poznan”

This lovely hotel is in the ideal location, within walking distance of the main attractions in town including the Old Market Square and Ostrow Tumski. The comfortable rooms are beautifully decorated and the facilities for working downstairs are very good with free hot drinks available 24 hours daily. The restaurant serves an extensive breakfast buffet and I can recommend the poached egg on avocado toast.

“Great hotel in great location”

My wife and I stayed at the PURO Poznan Stare Miasto for 3 nights at the start of May this year . We were tired after a very early start to get to Edinburgh airport for our flight to Poznan so we got a taxi from the airport to the hotel . The transfer was only about 20 minutes . It is possible to get into the main bus station then get a tram to a stop which is only minutes walk from the hotel . I had previously checked in online so getting our room key was straightforward but the hotel reception staff are so professional and organised that I’m sure it would have been straightforward even if I hadn’t done the online check in . The room was not the biggest room I’ve stayed in but big enough and it was very nicely designed and very well organised . The shower the tourist things you’ll and the bed were both very good . The hotel is very well situated for all the main tourist things . For example it’s only a few minutes from the main square . There is a branch of Zabka - a little mini market - just round the corner so it’s very closeby if there is the odd little food item you may need . For places to eat and drink there are loads of cafes , restaurants and bars within 10/15 minutes walk away . The hotel does have a bar and a restaurant which are both top notch . My wife and I are vegan but we both had something from the hotel menu on 2 evenings during our stay . I used the bar and found all the bar staff very professional and friendly - highly recommended . There was a free walking tour organised by the hotel . Our guide was Paulina - very knowledgeable and a very pleasant person . One final point about Poznan and the hotel . I would recommend a visit to the Poznan Botanic Gardens . This is very extensive and you can get there by tram . Both my wife and I were pretty tired after a good walk around the gardens then getting back on the tram . So it was really good to come bach to the PURO hotel for a nice shower and a hot chocolate from the lobby . Oh , I forgot to mention that : the hotel , like all PURO hotels , offers free coffee , hot chocolate from the machine in the lobby whenever you want one . All in all , a great hotel with great staff . I don’t work for PURO and I’m not being paid for writing this review but I do like to give praise where it’s due . Over the years I’ve stayed in too many hotels that are way , way off the mark of being a decent hotel . This chain of hotels is hard to beat . If you find yourself in this neck of the woods then check in here

“Great, centrally located hotel but AC is not optimal”

Lovely hotel within walking distance of all the top sights; great staff; comfortable furnishings; lobby and restaurant etc., very pleasant. However, the temperature control system for guests leaves a lot to be desired. Our room system did not work at all and we were initially met with skepticism. However, after we were moved, at check out we were informed that indeed, there was an issue with it. Even so, be aware that the system allows you to only change the baseline temperature by 3 degrees either way, and that if you open a window, this shuts off the AC automatically (makes sense, but not if your room is almost 80F and you are suffering!) The staff were very responsive. To keep the room cool, you need to order an extra key to leave in the electrical slot on entry, otherwise everything shuts off. Which as a frequent traveler to Europe, I am familiar with an absolutely understand the rationale for this, yet the hallways and common areas of the hotel are cooled perfectly!! Anyway, if you’re super temperature sensitive, this might not be the hotel option for you.
