Upon arrival was expecting a glass of champagne which regretfully didnt receive or was never offered one during my stay. The big sting was when they asked i pay 400 euros up front as a security deposit. Huge amount of money to hand over especially if it is for spending. Luckily i could put it on my card. Had no mention of this before arrival. No netflix in the room or lets put it this way no option to sign in to your account. All i had was BBC world and the use of my tiny phone screen to watch a film. Not enough tea bags/ coffee /milk provided. Had to keep asking. In the end resorted to buying my own which should not be the case for a . I did on several occassions ask and only once was my request fulfilled. Gave up in the end. The front staff were very helpful and they helped me. Breakfast was great. Cannot fault it. Huge selection to choose from. For a 5 star hotel i think it still needs tweeking. More like 4 star. Had a great time nevertheless with great memories to take back.Krakow really is a beautiful city.

We recently stayed as a group of four and, while there were genuine highlights, a few things left us underwhelmed for a hotel billing itself as five-star. First impressions matter, and unfortunately ours weren't great. No welcome drink was offered on arrival — a small gesture, but one you'd expect as standard at this level. More frustrating was the large deposit required at check-in. This isn't mentioned anywhere during the booking process, including on Booking.com, which I've since followed up with them about directly. When we queried it, we were told it's standard practice at all five-star hotels. In over a decade of staying at properties of this calibre across Europe, I've never encountered this — and if it is policy, it absolutely needs to be communicated upfront. An email would have sufficed instead of recieving room upgrade offers in advance via email. Breakfast was pleasant enough, though the menu was identical each morning, which felt a little repetitive over the course of the stay. The restaurant staff, however, were a genuine bright spot — warm, attentive, and friendly throughout. The rooms themselves were comfortable, but the in-room media setup is dated. No Netflix, no modern streaming — the team acknowledged this and said upgrades are in progress, which is encouraging. Honestly, this is a very nice four-star hotel. It just isn't a five-star, and marketing it as one creates expectations it doesn't quite meet. That said, I would return — it's a good base in Krakow — but I'd go in with eyes open on the deposit situation and temper expectations on arrival experience. It just left a sour taste in my mouth, the lack of deposit disclosure, the lack of greeting and reception upon arrival and the breakfast being repetitive.

We were disappointed with the hotel, because it is 5 stars we expected more! The room was without a heater system airconditioner which was not working at all with the consequence that we got cold the first night, only the next day the employee took a small heater to be able to heat the room; there is no Netflix on the room television, the TV only has 5 channels available, breakfast is same e very day with no variety at all, every day the same food; the hotel restaurant also does not have much food option, not even pizza they have on the menu, because it is a 5-star hotel we expected more!
