First time in Gdansk and chose to stay at Hotel Puro, great choice. Location is perfect, near to everything, plenty of restaurants and bars but still quiet - 10/10 soundproofing. The rooms are just lovely, exceptionally clean. lovely toiletries - shower gell, shampoo and hand wash. Just to note the bathroom is a glass box - beautifully designed but offers very little privacy - be aware if this is something that would bother you. Our window looked out on to the lobby below which initially felt a bit odd but we soon got used to that. The room was a little too warm even after adjustment via iPad. The room has a small fridge ( water, beers and wines can be bought from the shop over the road) The lobby, the restaurant, all the public areas are beautifully designed, so many cute little nooks to chill out /read. One of the best features is the coffee machine in reception - you can get complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc all day long, they even provide cups for you to take out with you. There’s a little supermarket over the road that sells breakfast rolls, cinnamon buns etc so you can sit and have those with your coffee in the morning - no disapproving looks from staff if you’re sitting eating your own food, this seems to be the thing a lot of guests choose to do. This being said, on our last morning we decided to have breakfast in the restaurant which was excellent, plentiful and an abundance of choice. One of the perks of staying in the hotel was a free 1.5hr walking tour on the Saturday morning, the guide was absolutely excellent, so knowledgeable and this was one of the highlights of our trip. Check out is a very generous 12 o’clock but the hotel kindly extended this a little as we were taking a later flight. The roof top bar is worth a visit although when we went it was extremely quiet, maybe this isn’t advertised enough - a reminder and a voucher for a % discount placed in the room would maybe encourage guests to try out the bar? We ate in the restaurant one evening and enjoyed the food. One more thing to add - the staff is friendly and the whole hotel is exceptionally clean throughout. I would definitely choose Hotel Puro if we return to Gdansk
