Casa da Amieira has it all. Very friendly and helpful staff. They do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Every staff member was well informed about the fact that my daughter and I are both celiac. So every day at breakfast and at dinner (we had 2 times dinner in the restaurant which was delicious) we were offered glutenfree bread and muffins. They also knew which meals on the menu contain gluten. Our bungalow was very clean and nice furnished. A big terrace which we enjoyed. Good working airco units in every room. Very good beds. Nice shower. Housekeeping did a very good job with cleaning our bungalow every day and towels were changed upon request. All the areas in the hotel are of high hygienic standard and the hotel is very well maintained. We’ve liked the SPA, massage, outside pool, the little zoo,…We’ve enjoyed every minute of our one week layover at this charming hotel. 10/10 for Casa da Amieira!

We had a lovely experience at Casa da Amieira. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was very nicely equipped and finished, super private. The grounds are beautiful and majestically kept (loved the olive trees and their architectural trimming). They have sort of a “mini zoo”, well kept animals, great for children to come in touch with a variety of animals. Very nice indoor and outdoor pools, spa. We had dinner at the restaurant and we were very pleased with the service, food selections/quality/value. We had breakfast served at the bungalow and that was quite lovely as well. It was a very calming and relaxing place, highly recommended, particularly for couples wanting a few days “unplugged” from their hectic lives and if you have children, it is quite the place to enjoy some magical time with them

Finding the hotel is a bit of an adventure, but worth the trouble. Best suggestion is to put the postal code into the gps. On Monday’s most of the restaurants in Portugal are closed. Finding the hotel is a bit of an adventure, but worth the trouble. Best suggestion is to put the postal code into the gps. On Monday’s most of the restaurants in Portugal are closed. However, the hotel desk manager suggested a “very” local place that blew us away. She noted that she and the assistant manager go there, but that it was just for locals. Order the steak (bone in rib eye). It was amazing! Be prepared to use sign language or Portuguese; no English spoken. Wine is from a pitcher but passable. When we realized the next morning (on out early departure date) that my wife had left her sweater at the restaurant we asked the desk to call them when they opened to see if it was there. It was, they picked it up for us, packed it up, and sent it back to the US for $8.00. The hotel is a combination of health spa and retreat. Very modern, and clean. Lovely people.

“Unique”

This is a quite extraordinary hotel whose features and merits have been justly praised by previous guests, and don’t bear repetition. If I could make one tiny change, I’d remove the speakers along the fence that inject pop music into an Eden already replete with its own harmonies.
