I visited this hotel for the 2nd time in mid Feb 2024 (1st time was right before the pandemic hit in Feb 2020). I chose to go back to this hotel for several reasons: 1. Perfect location - it was a perfect location for what we needed: in the Saldanha area of Lisbon surrounded by several commercial and public/gov't. offices and establishments. It very accessible to several bus and metro and train lines which makes visiting to other parts of the city, including tourist destinations very easy. It is surrounded by several restaurants, shops and in front is the market. I noticed that at one corner of the building, they are building a Starbucks shop. 2. Hotel condition - the building, facilities and rooms are well maintained. The hallways and other shared spaces are very clean. I always saw housekeeping on our floor. Though the overall color scheme is black and white, well lit and easy to see signs were everywhere so it was not hard to find your way. 3. Affordability - for the quality of room/amenities, perfect location and good hospitality service they provide, their room rates (whether in points or cash) is relatively cheaper than other similarly advertised hotels. 4. Most importantly, the staff - exemplified excellent customer service from the front desk, dining/restaurant, housekeeping and manager. before arrival, a staff, Sara, reached out to me by email to find out if I had any special requests or concerns. I mentioned to them that I am traveling with my 83 yo mother and that it was part of my bday celebration. On arrival, we were informed that we were upgraded (also as a Dimond Hilton Honors member). The staff even surprised me while dining - several of them came to our table and greeted me a happy birthday and gave me a complimentary cake - I really appreciated their warm gesture. I know that this is not the last time I will be visiting Lisbon. When I go back, I sure will book this hotel months ahead of time. :-)

“Nice but bring earplugs.”

Clean and friendly but decidedly weird. First off, the staff is fabulous. They speak English very well and willingly helped with every request from storing luggage to summoning cabs. Clean and friendly but decidedly weird. First off, the staff is fabulous. They speak English very well and willingly helped with every request from storing luggage to summoning cabs. The hotel is very modern, with a bar and restaurant on site. Excellent WiFi too. But the elevators are small, and the hallways strange (see photo). The room itself is a bit too modern. Plenty of 220v outlets, no USB though. And the lighting will take some trial and error. The main disappointment was just how noisy it was! We were only on the second floor so street noise was as expected, but the noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms was so loud and clear we actually thought someone had entered our room! Everything worked and the place was immaculate so overall 4 out of 5.

“Only if you need”

The rooms was clean and spacious. Very strange arrangement of the bathroom with open glass between the shower and bedroom. This ok if comfortable with your raveling companion. Check-in was really poor and difficult, taking over 20 minutes. Sad. Breakfast was more than enough for standard hotel buffet except for the coffee which was 0-stars powdered. But there is a Starbucks in the hotel. The overall hotel feeling is negative with dark, creepy halls and strang colors. It is ok but not welcoming or comfortable. If you need a safe hotel to land and want quiet, this is fine. If you have other options it may be more interesting to stay elsewhere. I will not return.

“Average rooms in need of reno”

As Hilton members, we appreciated the daily breakfast, slight room upgrade and an early check-in. The location was also good and a 15min uber from LIS airport. There were many restaurants, shopping malls and amenities within a 5min walk. However, the hotel did not perform well in two areas. Firstly, housekeeping was inconsistent, we stayed 4 nights and towels were taken away but not replaced on occasions, tea cups were also not washed, and tea bags were not replenished. Secondly, the rooms need to be renovated soon - bathroom doors and cabinets chipped badly, shower was past its prime. The room was 10 years too old - requiring keycard for power generation, absence of multiplugs and usb ports and noisy air conditioning.
