I had booked a room for 2 nights at Casinha das Flores but discovered upon arrival that my room was on the third floor without an elevator. I mentioned problems I have with my knees and the hotel staff kindly moved me to the Solar dos Poetas, 50m away and with an elevator! I enjoyed this hotel very much: the fantastic view on the Praça Luis de Camões, a very comfortable room, a wonderful breakfast and a very friendly, yet professional staff, with a special mention of Carla who not only works in the hotel but also sings the Fado 3 times a week at the Palacio das Especiarias. The location of Solar dos Poetas is also perfect, as it is within a walking distance of many attractions, close to transportation, as well as to excellent restaurants and bakeries.

Fantastic Experience: I stayed in the beautiful “Natália Correia 04 - 'Domus’ room. It was very quiet room with an exceptional air conditioning system (this feature was so welcome as it was 34 degrees on the day of my stay!) the shower was super powerful with free lavender shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. There was also a soap and hand lotion dispenser above the hand basin. Towels were really fluffy and there was a hairdryer in the room. By the side of the bed there was a coffee machine with coffee pods and creamer pods! Also a free bottle of water! Breakfast was exceptional - so many different options to choose from! Last but definitely not least! Every single member of staff from the receptionists to the chamber maids were so polite, courteous and friendly and could not do enough to assist you, no matter what your question was! I LOVED every minute of my stay here. Huge well done to team I could not recommend this hotel enough! It’s definitely 5 stars from me! (As a side note for travellers I got the Metro from Lisbon airport to Baixa-Chiado station and it’s under a 5 minute walk to the hotel from there (€2.40 for the ticket) Also the number 28 tram stops right outside the front door of the hotel. Excellent location with lots of restaurants, cafes, and bars surrounding the hotel and area.

My first trip to Lisbon and this was the perfect place to stay with great accommodations, welcoming staff and the best location. Our room had French doors that opened out over a bustling square where the cable cars stopped to pick up passengers and tak them up and down the hills of the city. The doors were soundproof so once you shut them, your room was quiet. The breakfast was amazing with many options from scrambled eggs, sautéed vegetables, fresh fruit and fresh bread, meats and cheese, oatmeal,cereal and yogurt and sweet treats. Live piano music filled the room with wonderful sounds to start your day. We walked everywhere and especially enjoyed the access to the riverfront where there’s music playing and small bars and cafes. And it’s a short walk down the hills to Pink Street where there’s always a party going on! At night, there are many restaurants and bars close by. The Barrio Alto/Chiado areas are lively at night and so many options for dinner and to have fun! Transportation is simple in this location whether you want to take the Metro, cable car, taxi or train. I highly recommend this place!

“Disappointing experience”

Stayed for 3 nights to celebrate a special occasion with my partner. It was our first time visiting Lisbon and we booked a room especially because it had a wrap around balcony. On the website you can select the room you want, or at least you could when I booked at the beginning of the year. I had booked the top left room on the top floor of the hotel. On arrival I was given a completely different room (blue room in images) than what I had paid for and when I raised this with reception I was asked in a sarcastic tone "have you seen the room?" "It's the same room, it has the same view" and was told the hotel had no rooms with balconies and that I was mistaken and laughed at by 2 female members of staff on reception. This as a first impression left a sour taste of the hotel and the reception staff. They wanted proof of a balcony room in the hotel, which was a video I found online of the room I booked - screenshot added for reference and link to the video here https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNRw2pJSD/ (FYI- the entire top floor of the hotel) We then had a member of the booking team come to our room and explain why we didn't get the room we paid for, basically it was given to someone else. We were given as a token for the mistake access to a sister hotels spa and a massage - which was a nice offer and we appreciated it. This member of staff was very pleasant. My main annoyance was the way the situation was handled by the check in team, the principle of it all. If you are staying be aware the lift is tiny and you will most definitely need earplugs as the hotel is located in a very busy party area of Lisbon. Breakfast is basic but does the job. The hotel design is quirky and well designed. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay again if I were to visit Lisbon.
