“Smolninskaya Hotel”
Hi, excellent location , 500 meters from former Smolniy Institute, where you can walk in the evening . And it'll take you 5 minites by cosy trolley bus to get to Nevskiy prospect, Tasty food, very pleasant staff. Good price in winter!

Nice hotel, room was clean although not a lot on TV! We had a fridge and there's a grocery store a 5 min walk away, a booze shop next door and the bus stop for the trolley bus (which takes you to central St P in about 10 mins) literally around the corner. A pleasant 4* hotel in a quiet district just outside the centre. Much cheaper than hotels right in the centre, Stayed in the suite - very spacious with lots of room, and a large bathroom. “Not the best location for tourists, but nice”
I must note I was invited to this hotel, otherwise I doubt I would have chosen this one. The location is some 25 minutes of walk from the center (Nevsky Prospect, "Ploschad' Vosstaniya" subway). Accommodation in standard quality. Nothing was missing. Only sometimes took a long time waiting for warm water in the room. Massive breakfast. But I would like to see more quality fruit.
