Spent 12 days at Timothy Beach for second straight year. Happy to report again that the beach is wonderful, the strip has great food and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. A special call out to Laurel who set us up with her brother in law for a wonderful tour of Nevis. Sonita was our fabulous housekeeper and Virgil seemed to always be on front desk duty. The Sommelier is a new and outstanding restaurant on the strip and although we missed Cathy’s and Zanzibar this year- fire- we had great meals both on the strip and at Spice Mill and Marshall’s. Not quite open yet is a New Mexican restaurant on the strip and although- will look forward to that for next year.

“Nice hotel in lovely location”

I returned to Timothy Beach Resort after 10 years. It is still a nice hotel in a lovely location & I had a lovely 3 days there. There are plenty of restaurants either in the Strip on Frigate Bay South or on the road to Frigate Bay North. Would still recommend it for anyone wanting a nice beach brea… more

I returned to Timothy Beach Resort after 10 years. It is still a nice hotel in a lovely location & I had a lovely 3 days there. There are plenty of restaurants either in the Strip on Frigate Bay South or on the road to Frigate Bay North. Would still recommend it for anyone wanting a nice beach break. The only downside of my trip was nothing to do with the hotel. When I last visited 10 years ago, the snorkelling on the beach in front of the hotel, was the best off-beach snorkelling I had seen in the Caribbean, which is why I returned. Sadly since my last visit, they have built a marina where the excellent snorkelling was & now the quantity & variety of fish is much lower than that previous visit. If I had known that, I wouldn't have returned to St Kitts, but as I say that is no reflection on the hotel which is still nice.

Just back from a week at this wonderful resort. This is a solid 3 star property, but with the experience I gave it 4. Mainly studio and one bedroom suites. We had a studio on the top floor with an amazing balcony with a view of the Caribbean. The hotel itself is a little older and does need some updating, however the suites are clean and very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need. Just bring your food and condiments. Location is perfect. The grounds are beautiful! Beach right outside the property. There is a section with umbrella's and loungers just for the resort guests. Across from the Frigate Bay Strip (restaurants and bars), walking distance to other restaurants, shops and the casino. Golf is also close by. Although there isn't a gym at the resort, just hike up to the Timothy Hill Lookout.....that will get your heart pumping! There is a restaurant on site, however it is not run by the hotel. There is a beach bar right around the corner which has an amazing BBQ on Sunday nights (the ribs are to die for!). What makes this hotel amazing is the staff. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful everyone is! Big shout out to Laurelle on front desk! St Kitts itself is an absolutely stunning island. Can't say enough about how amazing it is, just that I can't wait to go back!

“Let down by failure to enforce rules”

This has potential to be an excellent resort but lets itself down by not doing what it says it does. First the good things. The rooms are large and have all the necessary things for a stay at the resort. The cleaner kept the room spotless and I enjoyed chatting to her during my stay. Pool area was quiet and always sufficient chairs and loungers, although I get the impression when I stayed that it was a quieter time. The majority of the staff on reception were helpful and were happy to order taxis etc when asked. Breakfast was good although the service was inconsistent depending on what staff were on duty. Now for the other things that need to change if this resort is to get 5 out of 5. The most important and a specific reason I booked this hotel (for medical reasons) was that it claims to be non-smoking throughout. You are told this when you check in and there are signs on the backs of the room doors saying this, but this is the full extent of what is done about it. For the first few days of my stay there were a group of Americans by the pool, two of who chain smoked throughout the day. Despite reporting this to staff nothing was done about it and numerous staff were seen to walk past them without saying a thing. This is completely unacceptable. Either you are a no smoking resort (and you enforce it) or you aren't (if you're not going to enforce it or are too scared of loud obnoxious guests and won't say anything). Don't promise something if you aren't prepared to act. Other things that need addressing. The blanket that was on the bed when I arrived had apparent body fluid stains on it. Luckily it was too warm to need a blanket so I immediately threw this in the cupboard. Bed linen was not changed in the whole week and the replacement of towels was inconsistent. It was advertised with BA (I have now found their website says different) that tea and coffee making facilities are in the room. Yes there's a kettle but don't expect to tea bags or coffee other than 2 of each at the start of your stay. want more than this and it's a walk to the supermarket where coffee is very expensive. So bring your own. The hotel has a shop, but I don't think I ever saw it open during my entire stay and opening times were nowhere to be found. Would I stay here again. Possibly as it's a good location but only if something is done to enforce the no smoking rules.
