I went to Alrawdhah restaurant for lunch; their buffet has many delicious food varieties. Thanks to Mr Shadi restaurant supervisor for his politeness and follow-up. My thanks to the girls in restaurant reception for their attention and follow-up and all team.

First off, I went to this hotel on a special arrangement so some of my comments might be because of that, though still, some experiences/ treatment did not have to be negative. I will admit when it came to cleanliness, buffet service was good, although repetitive. The way the place is showcased looks good, like one of those known international hotels but a miniature version. Elevators are too fast. Didn't get hot water. Place seems to need some fixtures or upgrade. But the operations themselves could be better, especially their treatment, which prompted me to write this review. In my instance, we came as a group and I understand it's peak season, so they are dealing with many people. When it came to finding your luggage, wasn't pleasant. People were roaming, asking questions, getting the wrong information... And ultimately because of this, I chose to help out others because it wasn't fun for me either. Mind you I was already kind of not happy with the staff but i didn't intend to complain. Now, I did already get my luggage so was like why not help others. To help, I decided to sort out the luggage according to people's country. Pls take note: Countries, so the hotel should be somewhat catered to foreigners. Besides, did some research (you know it's personal when I am really researching about this and also, just wanting to be accurate) and they are known, international, and do receive high volume foreigners, so a universal language like English should be a given. While doing this arrangement of luggage, two of the staff came and decided otherwise and as I was trying to explain what I was doing while undoing what they were doing, that there was a system, but they in my opinion were dismissive. Of course, one of them might not have heard because I was focused on explaining it to the other (though the arrangement there was kind of implied as well but okay). So after dismissing me, and I say dismissing because he didn't really stop to listen to what I had to say, was just busy pushing the luggage to one corner and making space while I think telling me something about go to reception. I went downstairs and complained immediately and of course from then, just went to my room cause like the system is ruined. As I complained, I explained and I will admit they did listen, and show understanding. I was even like, or is it wrong for me to do that cause like yeah it wasn't my job, but they also weren't exactly doing there's, and what I was doing didn't really step on anyone's foot. And if it did, they could have explained that. It was unnecessary to be meanspirited. They themselves (the manager and the person at reception) didn't say there was anything wrong there. And ultimately sounded like yeah this was not what we stood for, and like were on your side but of course there are two sides and That's fair to say. I went again to front desk like how far, did you tell the manager and what time does he come. So basically on a certain day I went down to meet the manager at a given timeframe. They had different managers, and wasn't sure if my complaint was actually told but had to repeat myself to one of the managers. So me and the manager went to the staff and for this staff, let's say member A was also about to clock out so I had to come during the time member A was also available. And basically after all of that, the manager was like he didn't understand you, so it's like what else is there to do. And okay, fine, let's use the language barrier excuse, but then the arrangement was right there and I was trying to talk to you while undoing what you are doing so maybe you should have listened to what I was trying to say. And I do say 'they' because the other did somewhat speak English, so member A could have told member B like what is she saying. Not to mention, this was not long conversation where there would be too much English. I mean, if I heard correctly and member A said reception (which shows you the level of respect cause like why am I following you trying to talk to you and you're not even looking at me or acknowledging me, just like I guess muffled speech as you were busy doing something else and couldn't give me a few minutes of your time), then there is some English. Could have said something like this not allowed. Please me not understand. Or no English. And I could have explained despite the language barrier cause like dude, look around you. Does this look like the usual way luggage is brought up?? I could have also said that I am helping and have shown each section and said this somali, this nigeria, this America... So that kind of clicks. But like I said, wasn't really giving me attention. So it was frustrating to think i wasted my time so you can tell me they didn't understand. So like what else does that apply to? Anything they do, they could leave it to they didn't understand?? No accountability? Even cameras could have been used to see how the communication went, like gestures even if it's only video no audio. Because sometimes our actions/emotions showcase an event, without needing audio. For instance, they could have seen he was ignoring, so if you weren't even listening then that's a red flag. If I was undoing your work, clearly I am trying to tell you something, so you guys continuing to do what you want, isn't exactly a positive attribute when it comes to how you treat people, especially at such a hotel. Mind you, to help me understand the situation to me, the manager was like even me I once told member A to follow me and eventually I turned and I didn't find member A. He made it sound like a good thing as member A was following the manager then strayed to help with luggage. And that might be applauded by a manager, but it actually validates my point: Member A did not listen; not a language barrier, it was a choice. So honestly I just didn't think it was right. I can understand language barrier, the frustration to invest my time while I was on a trip but like kinda goes with the fight for justice, and I can understand the unpleasant luggage experience, talking to staff (which by the way not all were like so bad)... And even though I can understand all of these, I am not saying it is okay, but I can understand or ignore... But to think at the end, and that was the solution--- an unfair solution. Manager could have even translated so we could talk to each other directly, like okay, did you not see me undoing the luggage? And member A would also get a chance to respond. But like nope, even as I was talking, part of the time, Member A just left to do something else so tells you how so important they take the matter and represent their values, and the so called this is not what we stand for, and what happened is not okay...😐 And like comes back to how many things does one get away with because oh, they don't understand. Sorry for the long essay 😅 it was really just frustrating
