We were a family with 2 children and we took a family room. The bed was large and spacious, but the children's bed was very hard so we put a blanket on the bed and slept on it. In addition, the shower sink was very small and difficult to deal with. Regarding people who have food allergies or problems with food, when you arrive, ask the manager to prepare food for you. For example, I have a milk allergy so I asked for a dairy-free omelette and they prepared it and it was delicious. In addition, they have soy milk for those allergic to milk. Very important, all their pastries and breads have milk so ask for dairy-free bread. In addition, the service at the hotel is really good and you feel the care of the employees. The hotel is in the middle of the city, which is convenient, and everything is next to each other, the promenade, cafes, transportation..., and in the room the toilets and showers are separate, which is very convenient for families with children. Regarding the pool, the pool exists but it is not included in the hotel, you have to pay extra money to enter the pool.

Perfectly located near the bus terminal from Vienna airport but also just a moment’s walk from the old town, this large hotel is very convenient and moderately priced. However, rooms are small, with very little space to put anything (no drawers, a couple of small rails but no wardrobe, etc); we were told air conditioning was a regular problem (it certainly didn’t work in our room - we were given an electric fan, which helped, but not much). We had booked a king bed but the room had 2 singles - when we complained we were told no rooms had double beds!  Breakfast was ok, no more, and quite crowded. Staff were fine, helpful, though obviously embarrassed by the many deficiencies. The hotel has a very good pool (about 15x5 m.), though use of it requires a payment (€15 p/p each time) even if you are staying in the hotel.

“Lots of positives, but too many flaws hence 3*”

UK family trip booked via Expedia. Fantastic location, right in the middle of town. Less than 10 euros in an Uber from the airport We had 4 days and purchased 72 hour Bratislava passes from the tourist office - giving inclusive public transport and entry to many key sites - castles, towers, museums etc. Only 3 star from us due to multiple fundamental flaws. 1) We arrived 1415, but were told our rooms weren't ready and to return at 1500. When we returned there was a huge queue, that took around 30 minutes (even in the priority queue). Not really acceptable for a hotel of this grade. 2) Noise - the ground floor houses a nightclub, and there was significant noise from both beating music and revellers until past 4am on the Sunday morning we were there. Note we were on the 4th floor so lower rooms would be worse. We also experienced banging from possible construction noise on the 5th floor or nightclub two afternoons. We raised a complaint about this and were assured it was referred to the manager, but never heard anything else...Again, not really acceptable. 3) Pool access - when we booked back in January no charges were mentioned, but in the interim a 10 euro per person per 3 hour session (if booked in advance) or 15 euro (on the day) charge has seemingly been implemented. Not really fair or reasonable under the circumstances in my view. 4) Breakfast - again, we experienced significant queues, and scenes frankly bordering on chaos due to the layout and confined space whilst trying to get food from the buffet. Positively, the choice was okay (albeit standardised) - hot options, pastries, cereals and yoghurt etc. We had 4th floor apartments that were nice, albeit, as others have noted, the WC location (and absence of a hand basin) is flawed. The TV featured BBC1 and BBC2. We were lucky with the weather - blue skies and temperatures in the high 20s and low 30s.
