Hotel Yasmin is a large, corporate-style property that seems to cater to tour groups, but it delivers on the essentials: a well-maintained room and an excellent location. We stayed in Junior Suite #901, which was carpeted and had an overall ‘sleek Italian smooth-leather–dark tile-and-wallpaper’ appearance. The spacious living room was furnished with a leather couch, occasional chairs, and a coffee table, separated by a pass-through wall from a desk and bar/coffee station. The desk had two white leather chairs. The modern bathroom was clean and stylish, with dark tile throughout, and a good walk-in shower with a handheld fixture (but no rain shower), and a sink area containing decent storage for toiletries. Worth noting: no bidet (I believe) or washcloths. A separated toilet was a nice touch, though. The bedroom had a large window a portion of which actually opened for fresh air, which we appreciated. Breakfast was served in a bright, attractive dining room with a decent mix of hot and cold options. The location is a strength: free on-site parking and just a 6-minute walk to the lovely old town area, where a long pedestrian mall lined with restaurants leads to a large cathedral with a spectacular light-and-music water display. That was a genuine highlight of our stay and others’, judging by the crowd of spectators it drew. A few drawbacks: checkout at 10 am was very early - the earliest of the 14 hotels we stayed at across Central Europe. The dark colour scheme felt a bit dreary and oppressive to us, though it’s clearly an intentional design choice and may be your preference. Despite the suite’s overall size, the bedroom itself was quite small. The leather couch and chairs also looked sleek but weren’t cozy and reinforced the room’s corporate feel. We did not use the living room at all. If you’re planning an early departure, the 10 AM checkout won’t bother you, and if a sleek, dark, modern aesthetic appeals to you, this room will too. Although those were negatives for us, overall, we’d recommend Hotel Yasmin for its proximity to old town, the well-kept rooms, and the free parking.

If you're looking for a well-located base to explore the vibrant city of Kosice and return to a calm, comfortable environment each evening, this hotel fits the bill beautifully. It's in a great spot for sightseeing, dining, and soaking up the local culture, yet still offers a peaceful retreat at the end of a busy day. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, and it's clear they’re doing their best under challenging circumstances — staffing in Kosice’s hospitality sector continues to face pressure, which is worth keeping in mind. Despite this, service throughout the hotel remained pleasant and professional for the most part. While many elements of the stay met or exceeded expectations — from the décor to the cleanliness and ambiance — the breakfast experience fell a little short. Given the hotel’s overall standard and pricing, I expected a more polished and varied offering. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t quite align with the rest of the experience. Room layouts and sizes vary quite a bit depending on the category you book. Although the design is thoughtful and the spaces are well-maintained, none of the room options feel particularly spacious. If room size is a priority for you, it’s worth managing expectations or contacting the hotel in advance to discuss options.

This hotel is a game of two halves. The reception is quite regal and befitting a 5 star hotel as you first walk in. I was impressed. Again, the breakfast facilities were also very good. But as you go up the lift, you enter a different era, of a time gone by. The rooms still have the décor befitting the 80's, maybe 90's at a push. However, my favourite was the shower that flexes as you stand on it, and the port window showing a very small letterbox view of you having a shower. It's a weird set up. The location however was very good and easily walkable from the town centre (20-25 mins). I would stay here again but probably only because it is one of the better hotel's in the area without paying silly money.

Hotel Yasmin, is located just 5min walk from the main tourist old town part of Kosice. Hotel looks nice from outside and common areas are modern and nice looking. Hotel Yasmin, is located just 5min walk from the main tourist old town part of Kosice. Hotel looks nice from outside and common areas are modern and nice looking. The room is good size but the hotel room bed is the worst I’ve ever sleep on. Breakfast was standard and although I did not eat in steak restaurant I did have a drink and it looked good. Room has a mini bar but water not free and can also be purchased at reception. Gym is a little dated and basic. In summer back garden could be nice but closed in April when I stayed.
