The views from the hotel were amazing. We drove a couple of hours to get to this hotel, so to just sit on the balcony and stare out at the lake for a while, was an amazing treat. Yes, this hotel is a little out of the way (meaning not on the lake, obviously, for the amazing views), but it is a quick walk down to the lake. We walked the whole path around the lake and found plenty of spots to stop along the way to chill, have a cocktail when we wanted, and had dinner before walking back up to the hotel. We had a car and could have easily traveled that way to get to restaurants, but honestly, the area is so beautiful it was so nice to just walk and take in the atmosphere. The hotel itself was beautiful and quiet, and the staff were all so kind and helpful. And the check-in process - so easy!! I was able to do it during the car ride over...it's all digital, so I got the room number and door lock code before even getting to the hotel. Breakfast was included and it was incredible! Not a buffet, you choose from a "mini" menu, either one or multiple (or all) of the dishes they have on offer! We only stayed here one night because we were passing through and that is my only regret about the stay...I wish I had chosen to stay longer. I hope I am able to come back one day! Thank you for making this stop one of the favorite parts of my vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Triglav, the hotel itself is quaint with historic details throughout, the rooms are spacious and have a balcony. The breakfast is excellent and so is the service for breakfast and the views which are breathtaking. The free bicycles were a very nice touch and much needed to get about without a car. However there are a things which left us disappointed - We booked the hotel back in January and one of the reasons was the good restaurant onsite. We were told a week before our stay at the end of July (only because I enquired about our arrival night) that the restaurant had actually closed back in March so this meant taxis to and from dinner each evening. The room didn't have a mirror, even though there was a dressing table. I had to apply my makeup by using the toilet seat in the bathroom to place my makeup bag, really not ideal in a hotel of this calibre. We were told multiple times that we could use the showers down in the spa on the last day because we had a late flight - we were not told this meant showering and getting changed in the dark as there are no working lights in the spa area (very odd and uncomfortable as you can imagine).

Location is outstanding, on a hill overlooking lake Bled. The room is very quiet and very clean as was the rest of the hotel. My package included a massage, a bicycle rental, and a one hour row boat rental. The breakfasts were plentiful, and the food was excellent. It was not obvious from the advertisement that the hotel did not have a restaurant for the evening. This was very disappointing because restaurants in the area were very unfriendly to the point that I walked out of one and went to the local supermarket and bought a sandwich for dinner. While my room was spacious, comfortable, and had an outstanding view of the lake, the furniture was very old and the sofa and high back chair were uncomfortable to the point that I could not use them. Other pieces of furniture showed wear, scratches and scuff marks. The hotel had a very small indoor swimming pool and equally small gym and sauna area that I did not use. Overall, given the $425 a night that I paid, the hotel is overpriced given some of the deficiencies that I mentioned in this review.

We stayed here for 3 nights and our balcony room probably had the best view of Bled you could wish for, indeed the Hotel is generally charming (although communal rooms a little overfull with furniture). The breakfast is all from a menu and was high quality, but personally I prefer a buffet and am reticent to order food I may not eat. This meant that I usually left breakfast eating less than I would and was hungry mid morning. I recognise that this is a personal preference thing. Also the Michelin starred restaurant has now closed for evening meals, the nearest restaurant now being a mile or so away. However where I was disappointed was the service at several points: We reported the TV broken and it was not fixed for 24 hours. We asked how to get a bus to local town and was not shown where the bus station was on a map, or assisted with tickets - although they did offer to book a taxi for us. On our final day we returned to the hotel to get our luggage and explained to the man on reception that we had a taxi booked for an hour later and would wait in the nearby room until it arrived - at the appointed time we went looking for the taxi driver only to find him standing next to the same receptionist who had denied that anyone was waiting for a taxi and that he wouldn't know anyway "as he had been off for two days". I would recommend going for a night to see the spectacular views, but would choose somewhere else nearer town for longer stays.
