The food, especially the daily breakfast is exciting to wake up to, the beds are very comfortable and the views outside the restaurant windows make you feel that you are at a true resort. The hotel has potential to be a true 5-star but our experience was a 3.5 due to standout staff members like Zachariah and Simieele (wrong spelling but he works during the breakfast hours). Both of them were excellent and strived to provide customer satisfaction. Otherwise our experience did not meet expectations So what was lacking? We’ve stayed at a lot of 5-star hotels and here, no one greeted us or held any doors open for js upon entry and exit. In fact, we had someone ask what are we doing there? We stayed there for six night!!! Housekeeping did their job, but goodness they did not respect privacy. They’d march inside while we are in the room because we had a question. No not at the door but walk inside. Also, why so stingy on amenities? We were there for seven days and I couldn’t get anyone to refill the vanity kits and shower cap!!! Oh and my son’s lovey got pulled into the dirty laundry but thank goodness a male staff member kind and patient looked for it in laundry area and found it! The pool was supposed to be a highlight for my boys but instead it was infested with seagulls and seagulls poop. Then the boys were told it was closed for winter. Did the website or Radisson indicate that? No. Check out the photo. Scary! I think one of the worst part was how we were treated by security due to the president of Namibia staying there to speak at a conference. I get it, we need max security, and I love that a female president was speaking at a women empowerment conference!! But the security and cops didn’t just cause inconveniences (metal sectors at entry and max security presence around entry and elevators) but they were rude to us. For whatever reason, I’ll never know. We were respectful of all protocols. The Radisson staff were good, they all did their jobs and I named the two standouts. They were the only two who made us felt welcomed. The room was fine, toilet had a leak which I told them about, still the same after. Spa was nice. I’d not stay here again.
