“Old resort, could do abit of upgrading”

An old resort, fixture & amenties was a bit outdated, room comes with mircowave & rice cooker, we purchase frozen food from CU mini mart & cooked in room, if not there alot a few f&b outlet which you can try

“Comfortable stay with many amenities at the resort”

Very spacious and comfortable stay. Our room had bed in only 1 room out of 3. Rest had blankets to sleep on the floor. Very friendly staff and great service. Free shuttle service from Dunnae station to the resort!

I loved the view of the ski field from my room! It’s fun to just stand on the balcony and watch the people skiing down the slopes. The layout of the resort is a bit confusing because it was huge. The number of lifts were rather limited, so it took a long time to queue for them when there was a crowd. There was a convenience store and some shops and eateries here too. This hotel and its ensuite bathroom is dated but the room is spacious and even has a kitchenette. There was no toiletries and bath towel provided though. The breakfast buffet was also good.

This past week, December 17-21, our family took a road trip out to Welli Hilli. After much research, the mountain and resort seemed family friendly. It was a straight drive on Highway 52 out of Seoul, past Jamsil, but it's a highway not on Google Maps, but on Kakao maps. Impressions of the mountain: In my experience skiing and snowboarding, Welli Hilli was more of an intermediate ski mountain. The slopes were nice and long, not necessarily steep, though there were some "expert" runs, and were perfect for teaching my daughter and son to ski, which they both learned well. If you're familiar with skiing in the Midwest in the U.S., then Welli Hilli is just like skiing in Michigan, Wisconsin, or Minnesota. There were many groups of college students and families at the resort skiing, though it was clearly not busy. The bunny hill is Alpha slope and was a good run for learning to ski. Most of the beginning groups were on Alpha, causing it to be very crowded at times. It's also the hill for anyone to go up to catch the Beta lift to the top of the mountain. The rentals and tickets were very expensive. They are over 60,000 won for four hours for an adult and over 50,000 won for children also for four hours. It seemed pricey to me. Rentals were cheaper, but you can still find cheaper and better on the drive up to the mountain. The hotel: The hotel looks fairly modern from outside and the lobby, but the rooms are older, Korean style rooms, as others have noted in previous reviews. Now, we didn't mind this at all because our room had two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen facing the slope with a deck. This was very nice, so the older style room wasn't bad, in my opinion. We also had a room with no beds, but only the Korean-style, Japanese mattresses. This was nice because of the radiant floor heat which is very common in Korea. On the website, they advertise a pool area, and it does have a waterslide. The pool was very nice and the hot tub was mineral water and very hot, so it was nice to relax in after the day skiing. As for the waterslide, they turned it on just for us, and it was fun going down over and over. No lifeguard on duty, but there is a nurse's office right next to the pool. This wasn't expensive, but was worth the price. Remember: in Korea, you pay for use of the pool. It's not free like everywhere else. This one was good and the kids had fun. On the website, they advertise a bowling alley, karaoke, a kids club, arcade, bumper cars, and other things for younger kids. This was partly true. The things for the younger kids was closed and would've been perfect for my two year old, but the bumper cars, kids club, and other things for younger kids was closed. This was upsetting. Only at the end of the trip did the resort open a small area for infants and toddlers to sled and ski, but otherwise there was nothing for our youngest to do. The bowling and karaoke were fun, and our family had a really great time doing both. Overall, this was a good trip. It's potentially a really great mountain if the owners would put more money into modernization of the hotel and facilities. I would overall recommend it for a nice 1-2 day ski trip.
