The Ellui is a business hotel located in Gangnam (no need to introduce the district). The rooms are comfortable and relatively spacious, although the furnishings are a bit tired. The bathroom is not exactly 4 star standards and could do with some revamping, but is still functional. The Ellui used to be home to one of Seoul major discos (jn the basement), which was closed at the time and does not seem to reopen. There is still a top floor bar and karaoke: be aware that a private karaoke room can be charged 200,000 Won, and fortunately staff will inform you of the charge beforehand. The bar is otherwise ok. The Ellui offers very good value for being in Gangnam, which can be really helpful if you want to stick to approved rates (e.g. for HMRC or company policy compliance) and still enjoy the location: this is what in my view justifies the overall rating. There is no shortage of restaurants in the area: some behind the hotel are rather trendy and pricey, but within a 10 minute walk you can find traditional and much less expensive ones. Good front desk with efficient check-in. Note that there is an Airport Shuttle stop a stone throw from the hotel.

“Ellui”

The location is great. Close to the river, main street, nightclubs, bars & restaurants. The room service was good. I stayed in the 6th floor and had a nice view. It's a pricey hotel to be honest but it was a last minute check-in

My stay was for 4 days.As I I checked in I had to hurry to conference briefing. The Taxi by the concierge was quick and later during my stay had no opportunity to venture to anything else. My stay was for 4 days.As I I checked in I had to hurry to conference briefing. The Taxi by the concierge was quick and later during my stay had no opportunity to venture to anything else. The turning down of the room as efficient. I did not encounter any staff members on my floor.Every part of it was pristine. With the cold wintery season the lift facing the river and the scenic beauty was awesome. The breakfast at the coffee shop was okay. Reasonable spread. The front office team were very accomodative . My short quick City Tour was very nice , while check out I was charged for the paste & tooth brush. Though it was a bit amusing / alarming, yet enjoyed the stay.

“Everything's just fine.”

in the room, amenities are just ok. They do cleaning everyday, but all things are old-fashion and look old. The location is fine, near bus stop and subway station and surrounded by grocery stores, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. The views from elevators are great.
