Brilliant hotel within easy reach of Mijas bars , restaurants and local sights. The hotel is quite large and spread over 6 floors with an annexe at the side. They offer a variety or rooms and we had 2 superior connecting rooms on floor 2 with a balcony with partial view overlooking the valley down to Fuengirola and the sea. Rooms were adequately furnished and very clean with typically Spanish style fixtures. Breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose from . Staff all very polite and helpful. Pool area always busy and sun beds always taken early. My only gripe was the timings of the meals and bar openings. Food around pool closed at 4 pm except for Pizza. Main bar not open until 7pm, Numerous bars and eateries locally and Mijas is a fabulous place to explore . Will certainly recommend and revisit in the future.

This was my 2nd visit to the TRH Mijas and it definitely won't not be my last! I love everything about it.. the beautifully traditional Andalusian hotel, the charming and welcoming staff, the mountain top location with stunning views, the nearby quaint town.. all in a tranquil setting. And not forgetting the polite and friendly guests the hotel seems to attract.. I have met some wonderful people here which makes all the difference when travelling solo.

A week in this hotel was lovely. The room was very traditional. The hotel was very traditional. The bathrooms could’ve been updated although they were clean and the shower was great. Everything was clean and tidy. I did have a couple of cups and glasses that were dirty and when I asked for them to be replaced, they just cleaned them under the tap which I didn’t think was very hygienic then gave them back to me Otherwise everything was great. The staff were amazing always friendly which really makes a holiday having had a bad experience last year in a five star modern hotel Mijas Pablo was amazing. Would highly recommend it quite a lot of hills but atmosphere is amazing shops that are wonderful everyone’s friendly even with my very poor Spanish. I got around as most of them speak English. The hotel provided car hire very easily and straightforward there’s plenty to see around the area Costa del Sol Malaga Ronda Things not so good was the beer was expensive they did not know how to make spritz. Just put everything with soda water which is not how you make spritz and besides a piña colada the cocktails weren’t great either they could’ve been more choice of refreshing alcoholic drinks with just a little bit of knowledge. The food was limited but fresh with some freshly cooked food on request which was a lovely touch both at dinner and at breakfast I don’t like omelettes but everybody raved about the omelettes Like I said, if anybody complains about the food, it’s because they have limited pallet because there was plenty to eat I had a superior room with my husband and the fridge was cool. I kept things cool rather than cold but that was fine. Everything is traditional and the air-conditioning was fine although instructions on how to use it would’ve been good as everything’s been rubbed off because it’s so old. Sunbeds were an issue if you needed a umbrella, hence why I think there was a lot of what I call towel gate with a lot of people going out even before it was light to put towels on sunbeds There was plenty of space on the terrace which usually had a lovely breeze even if it wasn’t around the pool but the pool wasn’t that faraway. However umbrellas were limited because they were fixed. I think if they had some available for the terrace then there would be less issues with the towels which isn’t recommended by the hotel and they have signs up, but they don’t do anything about it either We were there early July, but later in the season, I could see that there would be an issue However, we had a great time only had seven days wish we’d had longer And again, it was really the staff that made it always friendly polite and welcoming I would highly recommend and look forward to going back again
