“Recommended for those want to be in the bustling heart of the town...but beware the parking!”

This was our first visit to Cazorla and we wanted to be in the heart of the town, with easy access to a range of shops, restaurants and bars. We had originally hoped to attend the "BluesCazorla" Festival, but sadly this was cancelled due to the pandemic. Visitors arriving by car should be aware that parking can be a nightmare and that, although the hotel has a designated loading bay in the central Plaza de Corredera, the Police blocked off the sole access road (Calle Munoz) daily around noon during our 3 day Fri/Sun visit. If you find the same, my suggestion is that unless you're lucky enough to find on-street parking, you should head for the public car park which spirals underground from the R/H side of the Plaza de la Constitucion, immediately before Calle Munoz. From there, it's a c.10 min walk to the hotel. This 3* Hotel's location could not be more central- all of the main sites of the town are within a short-walk and the Cazorla "Parque Natural" is easily accessible by car. We selected a room on the top-floor (small supplement payable) which had great views from a large terrace overlooking the Plaza, although unfortunately the terrace was virtually unusable in the afternoons due to the lack of any shade. The room itself was large and adequately air-conditioned, the bathroom was also large and there was ample space for storing luggage and clothes. The furnishings were a little basic, but perfectly adequate, and room facilities also included a safe, TV, phone and free Wi-Fi. Hotel facilities included a splash pool, which was very welcome in the heat of mid-July and a special mention should be made of the restaurant (reviewed separately). Meals (inc. breakfast- worth the small supplement ) were be taken on a pleasant terrace overlooking the bustling Plaza. Both hotel and Reception staff were professional and helpful, despite the no doubt added pressure of COVID requirements, which were strictly observed. For those wanting a convenient and comfortable base in a central location, this hotel is ideal. The cost per night for a double was Eur. 92, including supplements for breakfast and terrace with view, which is fairly expensive for rural Spain.

“Quite good but not exactly value for money”

This place has the usual feel of chain hotels. The pool didn't look appealing being totally encompassed by the building so we weren't tempted to try it and I didn't see anyone else in it either. This place has the usual feel of chain hotels. The pool didn't look appealing being totally encompassed by the building so we weren't tempted to try it and I didn't see anyone else in it either. The restaurant arrangements were confusing. It appears that the Menu del Dia is only served in the day until a certain point in the evening - we didn't establish when - and we were told by one of the staff at about 8pm we could only have it indoors. So, being hungry and wanting something more than tapas, we duly went indoors and waited ages for someone to serve us. Eventually I got up to ask for the menu only to find they'd stopped serving said Menu del Dia. Possibly a cultural and language problem and possibly we should have made more effort to clarify the situation but that doesn't excuse essentially being ignored; we sat quite obviously waiting for at least 25 minutes. Free parking is some way out of town although do-able if you're fit. The discounted parking mentioned in the blurb did not seem to be operational. The location is great being in the main square where much of the life goes on. The room was a bit small but perfectly adequate and we had a reasonably good view across the square which was generally not noisy after midnight and has two very good tapas bars immediately facing the hotel. All in all we felt this hotel could be better for the price paid.

“Nice location but too expensive (75 €/double) for the services”

Nice location in the village but too expensive for the services (wifi ok, no parking, poor and slow breakfast, old decoration, very small swimming pool...). Nice room only if located on top floor with terrace to the place. Convenient room for three people as additional bed only costs 15 € per night.
