“Peaceful and remote mountain lodging”

One thing needs to be mentioned first - this is a mountain lodging and my opinion needs to be read from that perspective. That said we didn't mind the 3 km mountain, unpaved road leading to the place or the wobbly water pressure. The location is spectacular. There is a great view over the valley on one side and the mountain (on which slope you will be on) on the other. We were there in October, so in 3 km radius there was just us and the colony of vultures... circling above us :) The lodging itself is very comfortable and spacious, although rather meant for 2 people, since the cottage is arranged as one large room and a bathroom. If you are planning on taking kids with you - you must like them very much. There are quite some nice trails around, though you may want to consider driving to them. If I was to point out some down sides, the fridge could use some maintenance. Though it worked, it was so noisy that it was sometimes difficult to sleep. Another thing is the bathroom that has no ventilation whatsoever. It didn't bother us as long as it was warm, since the window did it's job. As soon as it got colder (and rainier) it was either a (very) moist bathroom or a (very) cold one.

We loved this place in the mountains with a breathtaking views. Nicely furnished single house with cosy, homely athmosphere and private terrace. Amazing bathroom with a georgeus big shower. Very well equppied kitchen (electric grill, blender, microwave, big fridge and more). At the property there is a great swimming pool for residents of only 4 small houses of Paraísos Románticos . A great additional thing were big beach towels. We definitelly recommend this place!

My husband and I were looking for complete peace and quiet away from everything to unwind and regenerate. We stayed in one of the small In EL Paraiso Escondido. We had everything we needed, it was lovely and simple with a big fridge and a comfy bed Pool was beautiful with some amazing visitors (goats) the views were incredible and so much nature to listen too. We had an amazing fortnight and have booked again for our next trip. Everything you need is in El Gastor which is also beautiful Only tip - upgrade your hire car for something with a bit more ummhh makes the track a bit easier but we had fun in our small car 😀😀

Because of our flight and transfer time from Malaga airport, we expected to arrive here at about 23:00 at night. So we knew about the long off-road single track path to the house. Turned out cloudy and almost no moon that night, so the drive up through El Gastor with some impossible turns and very steep climb up, followed by the off-road track that seemed to go on for ages, then as it turned out Paraisos Escondidos accomodation are even higher up the hill, quite an experience indeed; I loved it, but my wife not so much !!! Very friendly to provide us with some food and drink to get us going for breakfast, as we didn't have time to shop yet. Although from the pictures the accommodation seemed a little small, once in it was actually quite fine. Bed was comfy enough, kitchen actually quite good with lots of utensils. Big fridge & freezer is definite plus. Wifi is good. Very nice pool. Great balcony to relax during the day or at night. I personally love the pebble stone floor walk-in shower, reminds me of some Asian spa's. Lovely quiet place, no sound of traffic (except for the occasional local car), soothing sound of the little goats with their bells; the ever circling vultures from the neighboring mountain. Staff is extremely helpful and responsive, and it's clear they have great customer care if given the opportunity. Washing machine & soap, washing lines, iron & iron board are all available and we did use them as well ! I totally enjoyed this vacation here, got to admit, the drive up&down does get tedious and prevents one from "popping" over to El Gastor for some groceries. Totally recommended.
