“Lovely hotel in great location”

We stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend and had a quiet and restful stay . Well located for main sights in Malaga . Lovely room . All excellent and would stay again

A lovely modern boutique hotel that couldn’t be better situated for Malaga’s historical centre and transport links. The staff are excellent, always with a genuine smile and hello. The receptionist made us very welcome and gave us a map of the city and pointed out key sites so we could orientate ourselves. The double bedroom was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a large bed and bathroom with shower. The fridge was well stocked and had ample space to store our own snacks and drinks. Lots of space for clothes and plenty of hangers. We received a complimentary large bottle of water every day. The hotel noticed it was my birthday and gifted me a bottle of cava and fruit platter. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice – fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, pastries, bread, cereals, cooked bacon, eggs sausage, vegetables, good toasters and excellent machine coffee. You could have eggs, waffles and pancakes cooked to order. It would help if the tables were numbered so the cook could find you easily when they brought you freshly cooked food. On a couple of occasions, the cook was wandering round looking for the guest to serve. The maitre’d was very friendly and gave us lots of tips on places to visit and the best time to go. We ate once in the gastrobar. We were the only diners and arrived at 8.30 to find the cleaner was mopping the floor, so there was a disinfectant aroma. It was as if they weren’t expecting anyone. The waiter assured us they were open for business and he was very good, as was the wine which was reasonably priced. We weren’t impressed with our pizzas. They were just OK and looked like frozen shop bought ones. Given the hotel’s proximity to many excellent restaurants and tapas bars, I’m not sure why the hotel needs a gastrobar, unless we were just unlucky and other meals are ‘gastronomic’. This was a minor issue and I would certainly return to this hotel and recommend it for anyone staying in Malaga.
