A fabulous stay at this lovely traditional hotel. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful and the whole place so clean. As others have said the rooms are dated but the bed was very comfortable (the most important thing). AC was available despite the Jet 2 information saying it isn’t until 21st June. Our room was on the front with a fantastic view and we were only disturbed by rowdy drunken noise on one night. Absolutely excellent breakfast buffet with everything we could possibly have wanted and more (coffee wasn’t the best though). Great poolside food. We didn’t eat in the evening at the hotel due to the reviews but there are so many wonderful places to eat very nearby that we were spoilt for choice. We never go back to the same place but will absolutely return here at some point! Thankyou 😃

“Great hotel but needs a little care”

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for our third visit as we love the location very peaceful with beautiful views. My friend and I stayed at this hotel for our third visit as we love the location very peaceful with beautiful views. Breakfast was very good with good choice and great omelettes, evening meal choices not so good. Staff were friendly but I feel there could be more cleaning staff to maintain cleanliness of all public areas. We stayed in rooms 131 &132 from 7th-14th June and the large public terrace outside our rooms was a bit like the land time forgot. We reported this to reception a few times and though leaves were blown away rubbish, glass and weeds remained it was also very dirty it needed a good power wash. The area was also alive with ants which did come onto our terraces which would be controlled better if terraces were disinfected/cleaned every day this only happened once in our 7 day stay after I requested it, this should be included in room cleaning daily. Rooms were comfortable and clean though bathroom floor could do with a good clean. We were astonished however that the painters painted the outside of our rooms whilst we were sitting on our terraces reading they were very pleasant but surely maintenance like this shouldn’t happen whilst rooms are occupied. For superior rooms little things like tissues should be suppled, plus hand soap should be supplied in all rooms, small vanity sets and little sewing kits. As another reviewer stated charging to replenish tea and coffee is poor. We really like this hotel and will return hopefully you will take these comments as constructive and not criticism. It as a lovely hotel.

This was our 2nd time here and we're not really disappointed. The hotel staff are fantastic, very helpful. The rooms whilst being a bit dated are always clean with a clean comfortable bed. Breakfast is great with a vast range to suit everyone's taste. We do love hotel and the ambience it creates and will definitely return. The only down side for us was the sunbeds. We noticed this year that more people were reserving them when really there is no need. There are plenty but I must say may need replacing as their firm structure was now sagging and some were fraying. It would be great if mattresses for the sunbeds were available. As many of the guests are senior, us included, they would be more comfortable and gentler on our ageing bones. We would be willing to pay , as we are sure so would others, a small daily fee if these were introduced . And as for the area to be 'policed' by a member of staff so you didn't bring drink or food that had been purchased outside the hotel. This was different than last year. Maybe if the hotels prices on food and drink matched the outside then this wouldn't happen and the guests would recognise this and hotel would sell more.
