This restored olive oil mill has been converted into a hotel. We were here as part of a walking holiday (organized by Pura Aventura) throughout the hills of the Sierra de Aracena, Andalucia. The rooms are quiet, simply furnished, and very comfortable. A luxurious bathroom was a big treat at the end of a day of walking. The village of Fuenteheridos is a short walk away, and is very friendly. We were caught in a hailstorm while enjoying a glass of wine in the plaza, and the hotel owner came to find us to reassure us that he would fetch us at the end of the evening. A very kind host, who made us feel right at home.

“Caring Comfort”

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our walking holiday in the Sierra de Aracena. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our walking holiday in the Sierra de Aracena. We scheduled in a rest day in between 2 long hiking days so we had a whole day to enjoy this beautiful property. Gerald, the manager, went out of his way to make us comfortable. A beautiful breakfast had been laid out with many choices of delightful foods. Gerald asked if we wanted bacon and eggs, being sensitive to people of varied nationalities eating more at some meals than others. We would have been perfectly satisfied with what was presented but were happy to take him up on his generous offer and the prepared food was delicious. We lounged around the lovely pool area the entire day, resting up for the next day's adventures. Throughout the day, Gerald checked in with us to see if we needed anything. I wandered around the grounds at different points during the day, appreciating the colorful array of plants and amazing renovations that were done. The old mill was preserved and you could enjoy looking at the structures and various pieces of equipment that were used when it was a functioning mill. The room we stayed in was newly constructed and simply stunning--a large open space that included a comfortable bed, sitting area, coffee table with couch, refrigerator and T.V. The bathroom was spacious as well. The room was luxurious with a laid-back elegance that made it a perfect place to relax and recharge. The next day, after another tasty breakfast, Gerald insisted that we take his cell phone number in order to call him to let him know that we reached our next destination safely. What a nice man! I am happy to say that we had a wonderful trek and I called Gerald when we reached our next inn. Of course he was as sweet as could be and thanked me for calling him. I would highly recommend staying at this welcoming establishment.

We stayed one night as part of an inn to inn walking tour of the Sierra de Aracena. The main building is an old converted mill and the rooms are separate but only a short distance away. It is very quiet, just outside the village of Fuenteheridos and set in its own grounds and attractive gardens. The rooms are large, well-appointed and comfortable. There is no restaurant but there are several in the village - about 15-20 minutes walk from the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
