“Worth a visit”

Excellent 5 star hotel. Absolutely immaculate and friendly . Room was superb with a lovely sofa to sit on. Cozy bar and lounge in reception. Excellent price for wines . It's in a great location for shopping and restaurants. Staff very welcoming .

Great Hotel. Parking access for low clearance vehicles a real issue… This hotel has a sizeable underground car park accessed from the street. Easily found via Google maps and Waze. The street access to the car park entrance is up a granite kerb as seems to be common in many Spanish hotels. This will be tricky for low clearance sports cars (our Aston Martin Vanquish had front splitter and mid grounding issues). GT3 Porsche no chance. The alternative is to drive pass the PalaFox car park entrance and 25 metres further on take the right turn. In that street you find the main reception entrance to the Palafox and right opposite is a public car park, Indigo parking, which has level smooth access. I would park here if I stayed again. Hotel is great, parking for low clearance cars a real issue.

This hotel is fine but in my opinion it is not 5 star. In Europe stars are awarded on amenities and services not necessarily quality. Thus any way you cut it it is not five star. This hotel is fine but in my opinion it is not 5 star. In Europe stars are awarded on amenities and services not necessarily quality. Thus any way you cut it it is not five star. Four star,maybe; 3 star certainly. We had a deluxe non renovated room. It was fine although the carpet was worn. The room is large with a desk and chair,a wingback type chair and a loveseat. I would park at the underground indigo parking lot less than 30 feet from the lobby door at 21e per day. The bed is great and the room is quiet.

“Tired 5*hotel that needs modernisation”

We stayed for one night having a high expectation due to the hotel having 5 stars. We walked into the reception and were impressed with the surrounds and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately the 5 star experience ended there! Upon entering the room we were overwhelmed by the aged decor, threadbare carpet and general poor condition of the room. This was apparently an upgrade to the room we had actually paid for! To add insult to injury, there was no complimentary water as most quality hotels generally offer, the only option was to pay for the water in the mini bar! We left the hotel having had great customer service and really couldn’t fault the staff, just a shame no money has been spent on modernising the rooms which ultimately is the main part of the customer experience.
